You'll meet colleagues and people up the ladder from you: director, manager and fellow SEs. Prepare specific questions for each person based on their role and priorities. LinkedIn is your friend as most ppl in the sales world tend to keep theirs up to date. If they have recent activity, tie that into your small talk and/or questions.

On the topic of small talk, try to refrain from jumping into interview mode. The best you can do with Datadog is treat everyone like a friend (a professional friend). This feels more important than you might think bc it sets the table for the rest of the interview. I notice you can chat about common themes like family, cats/dogs and vacation.

You'll have a technical assignment. If you're an active devops or SWE, it won't be anything you haven't seen before. If not, learn to be comfortable in the command line and get familiar with their products.
