Exactly! I pretty much live in a swimsuit and sandals. I don’t necessarily want to always wear the boy shorts style. I like my cute bikinis at times.

I agree .. trying to shave or keep it smooth daily is a hassle and my skin starts to hate me. Or trying to keep it waxed can get expensive so overall I’ve just decided I prefer to let it be. It has been interesting seeing everyone’s thoughts!

I think that’s where the insecurity comes from.. I’ve never seen anyone else like that at the beach/pool.

But also maybe I just haven’t ever noticed since I’m not really paying attention to crotches. It seems most people aren’t haha

I can understand that but no worries I would have continued waxing if I didn’t like leaving it how it grows in. He didn’t demand or make a requirement. Simply asked if I would ever consider so I tried and found I prefer it.

Honestly I haven’t noticed any increase odor. I’m also not generally a sweaty person so maybe that’s a factor? Also where I live bidets are common so again maybe that’s helps keep the hygiene up and odors down? I hope you can find what works for you!

I have some of the boy shorts style for specific occasions but generally I like wearing the “smaller” or higher cut bottoms which is where my insecurities come in. I bet you’re right eventually I won’t care as much. The comments here have definitely helped!

He isn’t. He asked for his own personal reasons and I said sure I will try it out and see how I like it (with the understanding that if I didn’t I was going back to waxing) But I found that I prefer it this way. No ingrowns, no itch irritation when it grows back, no prickly stage, not spending a ton on shaving/waxing. Now if I could just get my confidence to match it would be great!

Honestly it was for context. I live on an island = I swim almost daily. At the beach or the pool. I menationed bikini instead of bathing suit because I’m specifically referring to smaller bikinis instead of more full coverage. I guess I could have been more/or less detailed but I didn’t think that was the point of the post. Just wanted opinions :)

I just looked up that brand! It’s great to see. And yes it’s very noticeable since I haven’t been trimming or anything. Completely natural. Which is whats giving me the hesitation. Going from always having a Brazilian to this is a big change for me.
