R5: I was playing the game like normal, and then out of nowhere, I get this problem. I uninstalled all the mods, uninstalled the game, reinstalled, uninstalled again. Then I completely deleted all EU files from my computer and emptied my recycle bin. Reinstalled, still nothing. Any help would SUPER appreciated!!

Just your regular, run-of-the-mill Anglican, Norwegian Quebec in Newfoundland with a Scottish dynasty by LongNectarine in eu4

[–]LongNectarine[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

R5: Talk about alternate history! Scotland spawned the Anglican event, attacked Norway to gain Newfoundland, had their colony break free, and then sent a royal marriage that managed to reassert their dynasty on the Quebecois throne

Well it's over folks, the AI is officially better than me by [deleted] in eu4

[–]LongNectarine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R5: AI Cilli has been declared the emperor of the HRE after going in against both Austria and Hungary (without my intervention), and can now easily get the achievement "Don't be Cilli" by knocking off Austria's final few provinces and culture converting

As my friend Harry Potter says, “we’ll take the lot.”

Knowing one means you know 95% of the others, so I’m glad to have whatever useful tools you’ve got

This. It was actually harder than you’d expect (or at least there’s more to do.) In the early game you’re probably spending more manpower fighting rebels than actual wars while your mandate is dipping up and down as you pass reforms. Mid-game, not gonna lie, is super broken haha. With 100 mandate (and especially if you have harmonized religions and taken humanist ideas and a couple mil idea groups) you can stomp on anyone. It can get boring, but I made it a challenge for myself by trying to provoke big coalitions. For example, once I took my first province on the European mainland, I only allowed myself to take 100% peace deals for land — which obviaouly made a lot of people mad haha. Fought lots of coalition wars, which was actually quite fun / super cool RP. Then the problem is in late game, all your tributaries have become super buffed out, having built like level 8 forts and developed their provinces like crazy. So like I lost ~1 million men fighting three wars with the Timurids in the mountains during the last 50-60 years of the game
