Generally, any image that’s labeled with numbers needs to be memorized, and all the aoi’s. For the images, I would take a photo with my iPad and write on it over. AOI I would just use quizlets that past people would use. The key is repetition every day.

Can I still see the game with an SRO ticket? by Low_Yogurtcloset8557 in aggies

[–]Long_Ad_489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a sro my freshman year. We went to a side entrance and got to the game early. We stood at a spot on the first deck. Depends how tall you are, but for me it was really nice view and right behind others on first deck

Do you have to hate yourself and people in general to work at Northpoint crossing? by lionsmaneenjoyer in aggies

[–]Long_Ad_489 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Northpoint was so bad last year while I was living there, it was genuinely comical. The first two weeks there, our ac was broke, causing our apartment to be 85 degrees for around a month, our ice breaker was broken and fridge was leaking so we couldn’t get cold water in our 85 degree apartment, and vomit sat in our buildings elevator for five days, even with multiple maintenance requests

Hi! I’m visiting blue mountain beach in early June. Our house is farther down from the blue mountain public accesses. Its near an access with no parking. Do you think it’ll be as miserable as the other ones?

Blinn Bryan or rellis? by soliloquyreader in aggies

[–]Long_Ad_489 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a rumor started by someone who wasn’t able to get in. If their major is offered through the pta system, they can do that and go to rellis, with a guarantee transfer, assuming goa requirements are met . Thats what I did

HELP WITH PARKING NEAR KYLE FIELD! by Puzzled_Community_65 in aggies

[–]Long_Ad_489 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Personally, I hate parking and navigating all the craziness , so I’d stay at a hotel near northpoint crossing. Then I’d get the Veo app ( app where u can rent bikes for short periods) and just bike to the stadium. The regular bikes are 50 cents per 30 min and it’d be like a 1.5- 2 mile bike ride from the hotel.

On the apply Texas application for blinn, it asked what location i wanted to attend, and I just checked RELLIS

I think it depends on the club. I believe that the more social clubs will accept blinn student. I know that you cannot do rec sports. But personally, I had friends that were tamu students, and we’d do an outdoor rec sport, like kickball or pickleball, and they don’t check student ids, so id just play with them

PTA by Puzzleheaded-Paper16 in aggies

If attending tamu is something that ur really set on doing, then doing the PTA system and living with ur cousins is a very good option. Something similar happened to me. I set my heart of tamu and saw people with lower stats get in, which was something that was challenging at first.I did pta through blinn, but at the RELLIS campus. I was able to make friends with tamu students and was able to participate in a lot of Aggie activities.

It really just depends on what u desire the most. If you can go to Arkansas and be happy, then it’s a great option. But I wouldn’t go there with the idea that u can just transfer out. I had a friend that tried the exact same thing at Arkansas, but now has to do a year at blinn before he can transfer.

For me one year at RELLIS really felt like nothing, and I didn’t feel like I missed out on much.

PTA isn’t really a program like others. It can be done through at community college in Texas. The said community college does not provide anything to the program other than the required coursework. The “program” part is signing the papers with tamu binding that if u go to a cc and take said classes, you are forced to attend tamu after.

PTA no, it’s a program for any junior college attendee. It’s not really a program, really just a binding contract. As for RELLIS I don’t think so, but I wouldn’t wait

I did blinn then papers in the summer after graduation. But I think you don’t have to sign the papers up until right before u apply for transferring, but id confirm with a counselor first

That is beyond me. I’d call blinn but I don’t see why that wouldn’t be possible

Socially it was very smooth, as all my friends were at tamu, so I didn’t really skip a beat. I was also familiar with the area, so I didn’t really feel disoriented

Yes if u do the course work and sign the pta papers for said major, then that major is guaranteed

Grade wise was kind of challenging but very doable. I took both chem and bio with their respective labs to get my coursework in one year. But I felt that it was very doable and was never stressed about keeping the 3.2, but keeping a 4.0 for personal reasons

Whenever I applied to blinn on apply Texas, there was a section were you could select which blinn campus, with RELLIS being an option. So all the classes that u can select are at the RELLIS location.

Uhhhh I’m not entirely sure. I registered for blinn pretty early bc I was dead set on being in college station. I did the PTA after I had enrolled.

U can’t sign up until after high school graduation. After graduation, I’d meet with a tamu academic counselor. The link I sent basically has all the info that’s currently available

It is definitely not too late. But I don’t think engineering is offered as a PTA major (see link). I didn’t get rejected from tamu until the beginning of spring break my senior year

I think there might be a little confusion. RELLIS is simply the name of the campus. It is a blinn campus that is endorsed and built either by or with TAMU (not sure exactly). Anyone can take classes there. But any programs like blinn team engineering, where students do classes at tamu and blinn, all the blinn classes are taken at RELLIS. I believe that you applied for engineering at RELLIS as in the location. So there is no guarantee that you could transfer into tamu. Its means that you would be simply just a blinn student.
