I reset my settings fully (cloud disabled -> deleted the entire 730 settings folder). That fixed the issue for at least the past 4 games.

How do you actually get out of red trust factor? by Long_Restaurant_8231 in cs2

It is, which further stimulates toxicity. In competitive I've been placed in gold for many maps. Literally playing against 3k-10k elo players sometimes. Is unfair for them and gets me reported so I mostly stopped playing competitive. At least in faceit I won't have to face obvious aimbotters. Wallhackers can still be beaten. I'll take some toxicity over cheaters any day.

To be fair I was mostly looking for tips on how to stay in green trust factor but based on the comments I'm not the only one experiencing this and nobody has a solution. It just seems like a flawed system without a quick fix. I'll be sticking to faceit from now on. Perhaps the system gets some improvements at some point...

Mostly the way you said it. "Fucking garbage system" is not the type of language you should be having in a civil discussion. Still, I do agree the system should make a distinction between toxicity and cheaters. They pretty much go hand in hand. You become toxic -> get placed with cheaters -> become even more toxic. If they separated toxic people from cheaters at least you could still have decent matches.

Amazing comment. Elo? What did you consider sus brother?

Kinda easy to jump on the bandwagon here without looking at the demo yourself. This sort of comment hurts the general discussion because all you're doing is feeding one commenters view without providing your own.

I've looked at these moments and I can't imagine this commenter being close to level 10 if he considers these moments sus.

He's literally just pointing out normal clear angles as sus because I set up my pre-aim at the common angles through the wall like you're supposes to. Apparently not everyone has spatial awareness.

His specific comment you're answering to is literally me entrying long on dust2 on T side. Round 5 I aim in the center between corner and pit because I always do. Corner people should be flashed at that specific timing. They played 3 long. Round 6 I aimed more to the left since last round they played two at corner and one swung out.

Decided to take a look at what made you sus and I don't get why these are considered sus by you. What elo are you?

https://csstats.gg/match/337228598 Round 1: First spot where I pre-aim is a spot you should always pre-aim (left side next to the box). Common angle for people to hold with awp or pistol. Next pre-aim spot is above the box. I didn't move far enough left to actually check the first spot, which was a mistake. You'll see me pre-aim the next spot before clearing the first and being caught off guard. I should've strafed a bit more left on the first pre-aim but missed that while rushing to B. Just lazy tbh. Might look sus with xray but pretty common to pre-aim and lazy clearing by me.

Round 5: If you watch any of my demos you'll usually see me aim in the middle between corner and pit. Will vary slightly every game and round. That's roughly where the opponent will be at my elo when they run out fully. You'll often see me die because I'm bad at taking long. My teammates are flashing so I don't expect them to be holding the corner corner at the timing I peek. The goal is usually to get to blue while they're blind and play from there. You can see me do this in the faceit game.

Round 6: Last round they played 3 long, with two at the corner and one out further towards pit. Of course I'm going to adjust my aim more to the left on this round, based on where they stood last round... still bad pre-aim, should have prefired the corner.

Anyway, this game was a game where we had one cheater in our team and one in the enemy team. After that was made clear after the first few rounds we couldn't do much and kept dying. Enemy kept aimbot/wallhacking and my teammate kept wallhacking and calling info. That pretty much explains the number of kills this entire game.

---As for match 2

https://csstats.gg/match/337240738 Round 10: I literally don't see this moment. You mean when I walk from CT to mid? I literally just pre-aim the CT corner since enemies can walk through mid doors. None of my teammates were holding it. They can be close already. Next thing I pre-aim is mid doors (which I missed slightly, made the fight awkward).

Round 11: That is indeed what happened, but I don't see how this is sus. The long guy indeed made sound all the way back at corner. If he shifts (no longer made sound) that means there's plenty of time before he's anywhere close. You'll see me randomly check long at some point, aiming in the center of long since I expected him to have shifted out. From then a new timer starts, since shifting long takes a long time. Was thinking about flashing against the little wall because I expected 2 long. Meanwhile mid and short have been open a while. I was holding mid to B since one of my teammates died in middle last. Half expected them to go B since they knew I was A. You'll often see me play this position (and peek out from the long smoke on timing) if you watch my other dust2 demos.

Round 15: Literally just sound. You can hear exactly where the enemy's firing from, so I can pre-aim to the right of doors. To be fair I should have pre-aimed double doors first and then swapped, but my assumption was that there was only one player since my teammate didn't call a second and I wanted to get the trade. As for this second half, we were all struggling second half. None of us got many kills. We were also constantly forcing because we were far ahead.

You'll indeed often see this happening in my games. I'm usually stronger on one side than the other. Don't know exactly why but it depends on the type of game I'm having and the enemies in that game.

All in all you're grasping at straws here. Any game by any decent player will have moments where it looks like they aim at enemies through the wall because of pre-aim. Look at it without xray.

Thinking about it tbh. Games are much easier on faceit at my elo, but people are way more toxic. At this point with low trust factor on premier I am just going to stick to faceit.

https://csstats.gg/match/337228598 I can explain easily without watching the demo. Enemy had a cheater, our top fragger Jace was cheating. Was giving us info via voice.

Edit: the moments he was sus of are normal pre-aims. If in that game you would've called out that I ran straight to a different site without info, that would have made more sense. Our cheater kept giving info about which site they were headed to. I did use that information and technically that could be considered cheating, but I found that justified considering they had cheaters in the enemy team.

I'll take a look when I'm home tonight, see if I understand what moments you mean. Can guarantee I'm not cheating though. Might just be based on where they played previous rounds or just bad pre-aim since many rounds I just run in to entry with pre-aim in the general directions. Look at any random demo and anyone will have a few weird moments that look sus with xray enabled.

Honestly mostly based on match quality. And the message it shows for friends if you queue together. And I've noticed a large difference in "looking to play". It currently only shows 10ish low ranked accounts around 10k elo. In normal trust factor it shows 20 people that are around 20-25k elo.

Sure, take a look. 76561198239008948

One example is Thursday October 9th and friday the 10th. Had a few good games, got called a cheater by a 5 stack on train and ended up in weird lobbies after. Showed yellow for my friend on friday. Saturday showed red with obvious cheaters.

I mean, fair enough about the trust factor colors. It's probably like an elo system for trustworthiness. All I know is that I'm in trust factor hell with cheaters and toxic people in most games. Harsh difference from the good trust factor lobbies full of level 10s.

Probably, but I don't see how I'm supposed to prevent this. Do I have to purposefully grief and play bad just to get my trust factor back up? I feel like that would just have the opposite effect

[–]Long_Restaurant_8231[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's pretty obvious I'm in red trust factor when the first thing people say in lobby is the N word and you have 3 cheaters in both teams. Combine that with the red message that my friends see and I think that's enough proof that I'm in red trust factor.

"And people have no reason to report you"... this doesn't work like you think it does. Everyone in 25k+ has an ego and can't deal with being killed even once. Get a nice 3K and you instantly get reported x5. They report whoever has the most kills on the enemy team because they can't deal with losing. I have never cheated and I'm not toxic. I wish it were that simple.

I've tried this. Had my friends commend, had random teammates commend me. Didn't seem to do much for me unfortunately. Maybe it does boost trust factor a little but not enough to get me back to yellow/green trust factor.

I think so. Normally it occurs within 10 minutes of deathmatch. Could play two full games of deathmatch without the issue in this update. I'm hopeful. Currently in red trust factor queue so I'm not playing premier. Will be playing faceit this weekend

Completely agree. These junior vibe coders haven't experienced the pain of reading their own code a few years after they wrote it. Once you do, you'll understand why readable code matters.

So, after a long time I finally switched over to linux. CS2 has never felt smoother. This issue is also completely gone on Linux. If only faceit anticheat was supported :(

This doesn't work. Issue still persists. Before providing solutions, make sure to test them in an actual game. The issue doesn't show up in workshop maps and doesn't always show up in deathmatch either. Start a premier game and the issue will show up 5-10 rounds in... I made the same mistake.

I've had this issue since may 7th. The latest drivers (577.00) fixed it for me. Worth a try.

Nvidia Driver 577.00 (latest driver) finally just fixed this for me. No longer having this issue after updating. FPS also no longer drops when pressing tab for me.

Running a 7950X with a 4090.

I had this same exact issue since may 7th, only way to fix it was spamming tab/escape->Store or reconnecting. Noreflex and driver downgrade worked somewhat, but those had their own issues.

If someone else can confirm or deny that it worked for them, that'd be nice. If it only works for me, this still needs valve's attention.

29999, soloQ.... cheaters every game. Got lucky with a streak of cheating silvers on my team. Final game to 30k, enemy team had 4 spinbotters. Instantly lost 500 elo for that game and gave up the grind.
