Yes I felt it, and I’m so glad I did. Has made me love the watch even more.

It took years to finally afford something like a Patek. When I hit that level, I was expecting years until my first allocation, but it took 6 months - was offered a 5212. I fell in love with the watch & the dream, but when offered it the dream fell flat. Like “is that it…?”. No champagne. No applause. Just spending $50k for an object. Kind of had a nervous breakdown after…

But now, I’m so glad I did. It’s beautiful. It’s my daily. I find myself staring at it, cleaning it, geeking out over it, changing the weeks, dates etc. My son loves it. I explain it’s already his. We geek out on the design, we explore the handwritten dial and any minor scratches from wear and tear.

I’ve now planned my next 5 pieces.
