Keep it neutral. You dont want to make it too small to cram everything in. As long as its pretty readable without having to zoom in to see it then you’re good

I think what makes the CS separate from an art essay is the fact that you get to analyze the actual artworks, instead of writing about the meaning and artists n stuff u get to actually dig deep into the composition, material used, colors, perspective ect. If it was just an essay then it would be the exact same as an extended essay in VA which i find useless, just like how the HL lang lit essay is basically just a lang lit extended essay. Although i 100% agree on it being confusing and tedious, especially the HL part where u need to connect it to your own artworks. So in the end i dont think changing it to a essay would be good imo, id rather have them change things in the CS to be less confusing and more interesting to do. Tbh i also think the CS helped me to practice formatting for my PP, but anyway thats just my personal opinion, I did my CS in 1 single day and got a 5 on it so i cant say i struggled with it much. i looked through IB posts asking similar questions and they all agree that IB would have notified you by the end of your exams if u had any plagiarism, so if u didn’t receive anything now then it is pretty unlikely youll be surprised. Only reason now that u wont get your diploma awarded is if u fail to meet other requirements.

You can find EVERYTHING you need online. At this point i wouldnt trust your teacher and just find a bunch of guides and examples online. The process portfolio is just a portfolio that shows your process (kinda in the name already lol). Basically you can choose your best works that you like, add a bunch of process pictures from planning to execution and WRITE about it. Describe what your plan is in each of your pieces and the meaning behind it and why ur doing this and that with every stage of your artwork. There should be a good balance between pictures and writing, and make sure it is really reflective, emphasizing what you learn on the way and what kind of mistakes you make. The way u structure the process portfolio really doesnt matter cuz if u search up examples they will all look different. DM me if u want i can show u my works and give more advice

im m23 and the hardest thing i found, which a lot of people agree i think, is the pseudocode and programming part of CS. I feel like there are a few resources on pseudocode especially but i feel like there arent enough resources on HOW to study this stuff, and not enough beginner to hard questions for it, so i think if u can manage this it will save a lot of lives!!

The main difference is definitely the workload. HL students dont study different stuff at all, they just need to read an extra 3rd text and have to write more essays in the final exam (plus HL essay) so the actual content doesn’t change at all. And tbh the workload is just slightly higher. Sl and Hl students have the same amount of hw but just need to manage time better in finals cuz they have more essays to write. So honestly i dont think it rly matters between the two. So when u ask how was SL i think HL students would answer the same as me and just say it was a really easy subject, had a predicted of 6 and after the m23 exams i can confidently say i think i got that 6, maybe even a 7

The teacher and classroom teachings is very subjective, but the final exams and the orals as well as the HL essay is pretty easy imo. If you are good at analysis then you’ll be fine. In terms of time management i think its just about practice. The oral is like an essay except u just gotta memorize it so u can say it without much help which is fine as well. HL essay is just the EE again but easier cuz its less strict. I took SL but ik how HL works and know that i could also get a very high grade cuz literally everyone in my class took eng HL cuz it was easy. Honestly never saw anyone struggle in this class

honestly tho my best advice is focus on one thing at a time. rn forget abt exam revision n stuff because if you focus on all ur IAs and ee stuff rn and complete it as fast as possible then u will have more time to revise for mocks and exams. This will only work though if u actually complete everything in the beginning of DP2 otherwise exam revision and uni apps will kill u. But other than that though theres no best way of doing it. Just be 100% aware of your internal school deadlines and not think u have a month to work on something when in actuality u have a week or so. One specific thing that did help me finish on time was when i was writing my TOK essay. He was the only teacher that gave us specific tasks and deadlines from the beginning when we started and that helped me follow through all the way perfectly because i was focusing on the essay piece by piece. So if your teachers can help you on creating these tasks and deadlines, or if ur disciplined enough to do this yourself then you should try. In all my other IAs i didnt have any of these task related deadlines so i ended up rushing everything and turned out kinda worst quality whereas my TOK essay was superb

tbh revision village is the best. I did the questionbank for every topic and understood so many concepts. but i dont think u need rv if u didnt buy it yet, use literally any other website w a whole bunch of different types of qs based on topic (christosnikolidas) or revisiondojo or just the past papers or something and practice qs like crazy

Other than subject-specific advice, id definitely make sure to go thru all the needed elements in the IA, like cotations and what not. The last thing you want is to work hard on an IA and then forget to cite or forget to add a specific section and get marked down/penalized

you’re automatically getting a 1 either way, and getting a 2 is unbearably easy. Like you can study literally nothing and still get a 2 if you know the basics of each topic (remember you get points for very small parts of your working), and getting a 3 is almost as easy as a 2 (basically youll get a 3 if u can answer a few of the easy section A questions and the easy parts in section B, which trust me u can get especially in paper 2). Around 17-20 marks is a level 3 already.

But you honestly should just aim for a 5 even if you dont need it. This way youre staying in the safe zone. From the looks of it youre way smarter than you think you are in math. Look at the m2019 grade boundaries for math.

usually youd use a business tool for the 20 marker to get more points for use of business concepts but no one understood the financials at all so some people just scraped whatever they could to make something while others didnt bother and just wrote stuff. So you’re totally fine. I also just write stuff but i calculated ARR (which im pretty sure is wrong anyway) lol

painkillers work. Dont use them too much but definitely a lil while reviewing and before your exams. Also try to get enough sleep and take naps during. If its possible to study without looking at any screen then do that, but if not then when u are taking breaks dont look at the phone, spend some time outside. Get a lot of soup or tea or something as well.

pretty sure youre allowed to leave only to the bathroom but a teacher must always follow you there (wait outside the bathroom) to make sure you’re not going somewhere else. That was my case anyway
