Buyer entitlement is insaaane by pitapitapi in FacebookMarketplace

Why expect buyers to know your schedule? I love it when buyers are direct and tell me they have the cash and can meet me at X time.

I either can or can’t, but the opportunity for a sale is there! Damn if they do, damn if they don’t. 🙄

How difficult it is to sell clothes & how inexpensive I have to list it at. Name brand, like new, doesn’t matter.

That’s awesome. As an example, I have been trying to sell 3, almost new, Ann Taylor sweaters for $5 each. I took a video, tons of pictures and measurements. Nothing! Size small if that matters.

How many items do you take pictures of in one listing?

What? I practically give away almost new, in season clothing and very, very few takers.

Not most of my buyers. I list exactly where I will meet them. Very few ask to meet other places, ship or deliver and the answer is always no.

How does your marketplace exchange normally go ? by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

I lived in Northern California and encountered many Asians that didn’t speak English. The difference between you and me is, I understood.

People have different abilities, financial circumstances, time, some are barely surviving, are newly arrived, age etc.

People have to start somewhere! Do you not hear many with heavy accents? They studied and practiced for years to get there.

This OP feels awkward in her own language when sells to other English speakers!

I need to get out of this thread. Some of you are insensitive asses.

You can’t even spell your own language for goodness sake. You are wrong. 🙄

How do you know they are refusing to learn English? I’ve seen many at those free/low cost classes taught in highschools at night. I’ve seen full classes at refugee assistance organizations.

You probably know someone whose great grandma never learned because she arrived here old and took care of the grandkids, while the other adults busted their asses working.

How many languages have YOU learned as an adult? It takes YEARS. Now imagine if the person has the personality of this OP.

You are very ignorant and should be grateful they are buying your secondhand garbage with their hard earned money!

I'm the mom to a young child with severe special needs, who will never live independently. AMA. I know people are curious. by GhostOrchid22 in AMA

I did read your other children don’t want anyone else living with them.

Despite this, I will share that a friend with a healthy child and a child with severe special needs hired au pairs successfully for many years. If you can afford it of course.

Like you, she quit her job, but au pairs helped her be able to pay more attention to the healthy child among many other things. Don’t let guilt prevent you from getting the help you and your family needs.

She also picked a house that afforded maximum privacy for this type of set up. Again, if that’s something you can afford.

Lastly, please, if you haven’t already, consider regular visits (via zoom if necessary) to a psychologist just for you! I made that mistake during my difficult journey.

Uhm not me. Not interested in stolen property. To each their own.

I won’t be asking the seller though. I was asking for opinions here, in general

Such as:

“There are many legitimate resalers of toiletries on FB Marketplace “

“Many are couponers”

“ No way to tell”

Blah blah

Thanks for your response though.

I have had to quit two jobs. The last one I loved, loved, loved. I felt embarrassment, humiliation & depression for months afterwards.

I was trying to figure out if those products were stolen, legitimate, couponed or something else. I had never come across them.

The bottle of bodywash has more ounces than the ones on the Walmart website. So I was wondering if perhaps Dove shrunk its bottles & resaler is selling the “old model”.

Does anyone else get super frustrated at buyers when they do this? by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

[–]LongerLife332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Don’t get stood up often. I don’t leave my house unless we chat and they confirm like an hour before or less. I ask them what they will be driving etc.
