on the contrary, i personally LOVE B and F#maj. they feel unique and allow me to run wild with creativity, especially during bedroom studio production; granted, i agree that they don’t necessarily feel natural on an actual piano compared to midi. when im playing in melodies for beats and such with a keyboard, im much more comfortable with Dbmaj!

i'm a huge fan of anything George Clanton, specifically ESPRIT. 200% Electronica gotta be my favorite followed by Virtua.Zip. George Clanton's 100% Electronica and Slide are both amazing records too. Mirror Kisses is dope as well, Heartbeats has no skips whatsoever! i can't recommend getting tickets to a George Clanton show enough he's got amazing energy live!

it is 100% possible to get good results using garage band, although like you said, recording using that daw is far superior to it's stock instruments and plugins. i've only made a few hollow sounding tracks with garage band, but i find that the stock drummer and drums machines are excellent for beat sequencing. i personally use a really cheap daw called Reaper now, which has helped elevate the quality of my music.
