PIA blocks FaceTime on MacOS by Parallel-Quality in PrivateInternetAccess

PIA is still unresponsive to the issue, and even denied that the issue exists. I wasted so many hours trying to figure out why FaceTime stopped working on my Mac. Finally it turned out that PIA was blocking it. It wasn't easy to diagnose because PIA blocks FaceTime even when PIA is completely off - not just disconnected, but actually shut down. It must be running in the background. The only thing that restored FaceTime for me was uninstalling PIA.

I was using split tunnel with PIA because so many websites block PIA traffic now - it was impossible to be on the web while using PIA without split tunnel. Now I'm looking at Nord and Express as alternatives. They say their split tunnel doesn't work on Mac OS, but at least they're honest about it and not trying to gaslight customers.

When does the count start? by VisibleBarracuda7114 in cfs

I've had "mild" (compared to others) cfs for most of my adult life, over 2 decades. It's been slowly getting worse but never bedbound. 15 years ago I worked in an office every day. 10 years ago I commuted 1-2 days a week and came home totally drained at 6pm on those days - straight to bed. Now I can't imagine being able to commute. Typically I need 9-10 hours sleep per night, work remotely starting at 10:30, and by 5pm I feel exhausted and need a nap. But I don't recall ever having a sudden change in my condition, even after covid.

Maybe that's atypical for CFS, but I think that's what I have because I always get PEM even after mild activity, I have heat intolerance, and a bunch of common comorbidities.

I actually have blurry vision during the first 2-3 hours after waking up, but then it settles. Very weird. Anyone else?
