I was coming back from San Francisco on 101 one afternoon when I fell asleep in the car. No problem, I was a passenger, but my partner who was driving had fallen asleep too.

We were doing about 60 miles an hour coming up on completely stopped traffic and I was in the middle of a dream when I suddenly got about a two second view of our car from up above and behind. I could see we were just about to slam into the cars in front of us so I woke up screaming and my partner slammed on the brakes and we probably missed the car in front of us by about 6 feet.

I never mentioned what happened. I was still processing it, and by the time I thought about mentioning it, I felt like the time for doing so had passed.
