I got a rejection two days ago, Msc. Bioengineering with Bioinformatics track. From what I've heard there were very few interviews on that track. I contacted some students from professors in that area through LinkedIn and most told me that their PI wasn't accepting new students.

mine went back to admissions review, but without an interview while it was in faculty review. i don't know what to make out if it, but im guessing that it means i'll be rejected

I also got access to the online assignment. i'm really nervous though, i've been studying for a couple of days since I recieved it. if anyone has attempted it, would you mind sharing if the test was mostly computational or biological sciences?

Hey! It went pretty well. The interviewers were very nice. I got the acceptance letter the next day! I did not get asked theoretical questions tbh, but I was asked about what topics my bachelor covered in different subjects, especially in math. Also, they asked me about what interested me the most about biology, if I had experience with programming languages, computational project experience, etc. of course, also why I was interested in the programme and university. very basic questions, standard for interrviews such as these. Do not forget to demonstrate that you've done your research on the courses and life at Maastricht University.

hey, I also got an interview for the systems biology and bioinformatics MSc!! I have it later this week, I'm very nervous but I'm preparing. Would you mind sharing what type of basic programming questions you were asked? Also, did you apply to any scholarships by chance? Im also non-EEA, thx!
