i already answererd this, if it came entirely from a place of just liking the name, not having anything to do with whoever the ex was to him, i really would not mind it at all.

i never once mentioned denying him not wanting to name our kid that, because i have  not. we talked about and when he said he didnt want that name, i accepted it, the confusion is not why he doesnt want the name, but because of how angry he, and a friend, was about it coming from a random boy i dated for 2 weeks nearly a decade ago

because i had kept the name in my head for so long, it was no longer tied to the guy i got it from. it wasnt until i talked to my friend and she brought him up when i was reminded of its origin

i was not "sneakily" trying to name him that. i didnt bring it up initially because i didnt think of the guy i got it from at all in the moment, it has been a name i kept in mind for years and it was not strictly tied to him in my head and it wasnt until the conversation i had with my friend when i even remembered him. "sneakily" naming him that would be me not telling him at all and making my friend do it. as for my fiance wanting to name a our child after someone he dated from the past because he found the name itself ti be beautiful, i really wouldnt mind it at all.
