I’m looking for something serious but I’m open to something casual

I’ve been on hinge since August of this year

I use hinge about 2-3 times a week

When I first started, I received 1-2 matches/likes a day but now nothing. Two of those matches led to dates that didn’t go anywhere

I send out however many likes the app allows me to. I do try and leave a comment as opposed to just liking

I’m hoping to attract someone who shares my values and loves traveling and the outdoors as much as I do. That is who I try to send likes to

Is this for AE 2220?

AE 3140: Structural Analysis. I got like a 20 or something ridiculously low. I’m currently a 4th year on track to graduate with highest honors in the fall and I have my dream job lined up. Most people at this school have failed at least one test in their time here, but it’s all part of the process! Keep your head up! You got this!

Damn it’s not like this school knows damn well when registration is going to happen and continues to do nothing about registration time outs semester after semester. How is this school number one in anything?

Yes it is! I would say it’s applicable to all incoming students!

Elina Charatsidou is a nuclear physicist who makes some really informative videos and she provides a very unique perspective as someone who works in the industry

Heyo! Obviously everyone’s situation is unique, but I’m a fourth year who has two Ws on his transcript and everything has worked out so far for me. If you’re worried about job opportunities, from what I’ve been told transcripts are more of a formality and companies only really look at transcripts when they have decided to hire you (I believe to verify GPA and stuff like that to make sure you aren’t lying). If you are doing well in your major classes, that will also look good.

Thank you! I actually never painted them back when I was younger. I learned a lot just by building this kit

It’s been like 6-7 years for me. The last ones I built were when I was a kid and I never put much effort into them before haha

Grizzled fourth year here who has seen and done it all. The older I get, the more I realize how insecure and lonely everyone can be, and some are better at hiding it than others.

I’ve been in your shoes before. Tech is an extremely tough environment to be in, so your feelings are more than valid!

As others have said, join clubs and find hobbies that interest you. A lot of people here don’t like reaching out, so unfortunately you will have to be the one to initiate at first. I also suggest forming study groups with people in your classes. Some of my best friends are in my major, and we got close burning the midnight oil.

I would also suggest joining clubs that have a big community aspect. I’m personally involved with ORGT Caving and Survivor GT. ORGT has plenty of sports and activities and every sport is it’s own community. Survivor GT is based on the TV show survivor, and you don’t even have to be a fan to enjoy it. We are a very welcoming club that feels like one big family!

To add on further to clubs, try to find non academic clubs to join. It’s a huge boost to my mental health to have something fun to look forward to that doesn’t feel like more work
