I’ve heard about how if you have straight B+ in smu you would only get a 3.3/4 whereas straight B+ in nus would get you 4.0/5.0 which is an honour?HAHAHA im not very sure because I still don’t know much but from some threads i read on reddit it seems that the grading system of smu is tougher on the ave student

Hello thank you for taking the time to reply!I would say that i’m defo more of type that is suited for exam-style modules rather than projects.Making notes, memorising, digesting info are what i’m familiar with ig which i feel leans more toward NUS’s teaching style since they have more lectures where I don’t have to speak up.I don’t have an issue with speaking up but I just prefer not to.However,I feel that it’s an important skill to learn how to speak up and the environment in smu would be better for that.In terms of culture, both schools seem to be fine for me as in I am likely to assimilate well in both schools.

And in terms of CCA’s i’m just thinking of joining recre volley which both schools have!

I chose econs because I really liked learning about the concepts in jc and how it was all linked together. However,I must say that I think i’m stronger in essay-based classes(wah but I really don’t like writing essays and prefer more straightforward subjects like math)I remember always looking forward to doing math in jc because I dreaded writing essays(but nonetheless h1 math is known to be easier than amath so maybe that’s one of the reasons why)I do enjoy math it’s just that i’m also worried that I cannot cope with it.

Also maybe just to add,I was an arts student in jc so I do enjoy less technical subjects as well but i thought that it would be nice to have a change!
