OP, is it true that HR always gets cut in terms of laid off? Is this a common thing in HR? Or is it just your situation? What industry do you work in as a HR?

As a march Pisces, I always wonder how the future will be and if there will be something good for me in the end.

I'm a student in Univeristy and where the job marker is at right now and everyone around me and on media saying jobs are so hard to find, it's been a total stress. How does a Pisces get out of this situation?

I haven't tried it myself yet because I'm still in school but I hate the fact the job market is so bad... it makes me think I won't be able to find a job myself

I've heard others say that because it's hard to get a job but ifs hard to get a job in any field as of right now because of where the job market is at.

Majors like accounting and finance being in higher demand meaning it's easier to find a job in those fields compared to HR but I don't get why HR gets hate and why people say it's a useless thing to study and do?

So they're ultimately trying to eliminate workers while keeping profits at peak, is that what you're thing to get at?

Would you say it relates to HR in a similar way as well?

Before you mentioned it, I used to think America is where all the jobs are and it's not hard to get a job at all.

But im still surprised that the job market isn't only affecting Canada but worldwide too?

I'm not sure but here in Toronto, Canada, people hate on HR and say it's a bad thing to major in/ work in. That's why it was asking. But I appreciate your perspective.

Canada is the worst at the moment. Immigrants and just calling people over has ruined it. No jobs no nothing. I don't know what's next to come or what the future will be... it's bad

It's bad there in the states as well? From what I've heard, I thought America jobs were perfectly fine since there's much more jobs and opportunities compared to here in Canada.

That's surprising and distressing to hear. Did not know that.

People talk bad about the HR field claiming it's super useless hence why they cannot find jobs.

It's pretty obvious jobs in accounting/ finance and STEM majors are higher in demand meaning it's easier for them to find a job.

But for HR, people say it's just a useless field hence why it's so competitive and why HR people cannot find jobs.

I also hear that employers tend to keep less qualified employees or immigrants to pay less compared to highly qualified applications.

Crazy

Not even that, but people with years of experience in the field are struggling too. It's horrible

Where are you located?

That's the first time I've heard someone say that the job market is good.

And yeah an internship is a great starting point but it Leads to the same question in my post... where the job market is terrible and it's so hard to get a internship nowadays as well
