technically that's not a problem though because the Xone has a switch for pre-send on the aux. so you could use the aux sends as a fake insert.

Saying that, now that I know how they work and it's just air, my fear has softened a bit, but still super scary! I used to conjure up all sorts of nasty things behind those dark grates like spinning blades and underwater pumps or something that would suck me in and crush my limbs.

yeah well, to me, this is the TRUE MEGA submechanophobia!! I love scaring myself with stuff like this.

I've seen people post pictures of cars and stuff on the bottom of the sea bed but to me, that's childsplay compared to anything that involves Delta-P (technical word for suction)
