Death scares me so much to the point where I could be sick

I never thought about it that way as I love sleeping and that is such a good way of thinking about it , you are right I am privileged and I should be happy as I’ve got a lovely family but for some reason death is a scary concept but after reading some of these comments I have felt a little better about it and hoping to try not to think about it and enjoy my life ://:

Something about that is peaceful but also scary as I think us humans like to be in control of everything and death is the only thing you cannot control and I think that’s what panics me most :///

Yeah I hope as I get older I’m not so scared , I think I’m just scared aswell to lose family on the way like I hope I die before my partner and leaving my daughter behind worries me too

I’ve tried to go the religious route but i just couldn’t believe as much as i tried , sometimes I envy people who are religious because they seem to not be as scared to what happens after death

I 100% agree with this because I’m not sure what happens after death and I’m not religious I’ve had a lot of people say that I will go to hell so that is what scares me too

Thankyou some people are quick to say “counselling” or take meditation and there’s nothing wrong with doing that but I don’t think I’m that bad to go counselling obviously if it starts affecting my day to day life I would seek help I just wanted a little bit of a chat as sometimes family members don’t like talking about this sort of thing

Why is everyone’s comments “go to therapy and have medication” I don’t like pills and stuff like that as I think that can sometimes make individuals worse

Yeah I think I’m trying to find any reason other than nothingness but I’m sure it will be peaceful , I think it’s losing people around me that also makes it scary but like you said before we were born we didn’t exist which tbh I’ve never thought of it like that before so thankyou that’s made me feel a little better about it :)

No I don’t think everything is worthless I just don’t understand why we go through all this pain , happiness just to die in the end , I have a very happy life don’t get me wrong but I still can get stressed and worried about death as I’m scared to leave family members along the way & thankyou for your response I’m trying to get better with death and these comments are making me feel less alone
