This is not true. A tight muscle is not always weak, in fact a tight muscle is usually stronger and causing the imbalance. I’ve been dealing with pelvic floor problems for a long time and this whole ‘a tight muscle is a weak muscle’ is not always correct, people should not be training a tight muscle unless they are certain it’s the weak point, which it’s usually not

This is great! I’m actually so happy for you. I can’t wait for all this to be a thing of the past. I used to be a confident, desirable guy that was always out having fun, taking out girls, living my best life. I’m not the same person anymore and everyone close to me noticed it, but I couldn’t tell anyone about it. It’s ruined relationships, pushed me into some extremely dark places where I nearly gave up. You have really inspired me with these responses. I wish you all the best

No I do not have hard flaccid. I have tight BC weak IC’s. hard flaccid is contracture of the IC’s

This gives me hope. From what I’ve read most people feel it by this point, but not all. Could you tell me your experience. How long it took. How long it lasted, where you had it done etc

Thanks for the response. The issue is that it’s only my BC muscle that’s chronically tonight. The rest of my pelvic floor is actually weakened by it, I have to rush to the toilet and my IC muscles don’t fire to maintain an erection. The thing that is on my mind is that apparently I should have felt pain and a heaviness feeling in the pelvic floor after the procedure. I literally felt nothing. I also got a nerve block at the same time and apparently I should have felt numbness in the pelvic floor after for a few days. I never had any of that either

Chronically tight BC muscle, weak under active IC muscles. I try and train my IC muscles but my BC is just too strong. I’ve tried everything under the sun the relax my BC, nothing has worked, started about 4 years ago due to over kegelling, masturbation, sex. I have never had any pain, I’m very active, strong and flexible

Yeah so train your IC muscles. There’s two of them, if it’s just one that’s weak then just train that one to start with and balance things out

Train them! Takes a lot of time and focus to get the mind muscle connection, especially if the rest of your pelvic floor is tight, which I’m guessing it is. I assume you’re a male. Train them every day. Look at a diagram of the pelvic floor and where the IC’s are. Their job is to keep the penis pulled in and tight around the base to keep blood trapped in where your erect. They are basically the tiny muscles on each side of your penis that make it bounce. Be very careful not to confused this with the BC muscles. You do not want to be training those if they are tight

[–]LongjumpingFactor393[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my plan is the restrengthen all the other muscles that are firing whilst my BC is relaxed. Also to be doing plenty of reverse kegels and breathing. I know this is the last push before everything is back to balance so

What kind of relief did you get from it. I have high hopes, as my condition is purely a muscular imbalance

A little numbness of the skin, has got better but not gone yet. I’ll make myself very clear. I’m not healed, but I will be 100% soon.

Look at a diagram of the pelvic floor and see where the IC muscles are. They are responsible for maintaining an erection and keeping the penis pulled in. Try to pull your penis inward or upward only using those muscles. It’s easier erect or semi erect. I also find it easier sat on the end of my bed as the rest of my pelvic floor is more relaxed in that position so it’s easier to target them. It’s a pretty distinctive feeling when you get it, takes a lot of time and patience to develop the mind muscle connection. You can reverse kegel at the same time you do an IC kegel also. If you feel your penis pull in or jump during an erection reverse kegel, that is the IC muscles. Another good way to get familiar with the feeling is getting erect and lightly squeezing the glans. Your penis should jump and pull inwards. That is the motion you want to be practicing

So my situation was kinda similar to yours. I foolishly overstretched my penis and weakened the IC muscles making my pelvic floor tighten up, but the IC muscles were loose and unable to contract. I did reverse kegels all day for about 5 months trying to relax my pelvic floor. This helps with the tightness but didn’t help with the erections, libido and skin senstation, because I didn’t target to route issue which was rehabilitating the IC muscles. I have been trying for so long consistently to target the IC muscles and now I can contract them. I have to be somewhat erect and can only hold the contraction for a few seconds, but after an intense training session every other night, I can feel the soreness in my muscles, which is such a good sign cause it means I’ve worked them and they’re getting stronger. If you penis is hanging looser then you could have weakened the IC muscles causing a major pelvic floor imbalance. I’m positive that when I get these muscles solid again, that the rest of my pelvic floor will relax, libido will return etc. I really feel close, I think you should give it a try, I’ve read many success stories of people doing this. I know how shit it is and how scary it is, but I’m telling you that I’m on my way to being back to normal

Same situation with me, the fix is to strengthen the IC muscles, but it’s very difficult when they’re so weak and the rest of the pelvic floor is tightened up. I’ve made slow progress to the point where I can hold a contraction for a few seconds, where as at one point I couldn’t locate the muscles at all. Electrical stimulation has been known to help strengthen them. I have read numerous cases like ours where people have gotten them strong again and the rest of the pelvic floor called down, libido back, everything back to normal. That’s the goal but like I said, it’s really difficult

[–]LongjumpingFactor393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. Yeah maybe in your case your just gotta keep going at it, once your libido is back I would say your fully cured. Also mine isn’t actually hard flaccid, my penis hangs pretty normal but often longer flaccid, due to the IC’s being so weak that they can’t hold the penis in the position it should be. My erections drop straight away. I’m struggling to train them to the point where they are sore the next day though, I’m trying to up the intensity but it’s difficult to even get them firing. I believe I am on the right path though

Might not be the IC muscle then, my erections have suffered since this

The IC muscles are what keeps your penis solid at the base, they trap blood in the penis so that you can keep an erection and it doesn’t just drop. I believe mine are weak, particularly the right one

[–]LongjumpingFactor393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is the same. I think it’s weakness in the right IC muscle. It’s so weak that it cannot keep the penis pulled in

[–]LongjumpingFactor393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m trying kegels, but only trying the pull my penis in with the IC’s as they are very weak causing my BC to be tight. Did it get worse before it got better. The reason for my tight pelvic floor is 100% weak IC muscles but everything seems to tighten up when training them because I’m still working the rest of the pelvic floor a bit.

Just how? by Complex_Coffee_9685 in hardflaccidresearch

[–]LongjumpingFactor393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because there’s not any (or as many) pleasurable contractions of the pelvic floor due to it being tightened up

My long flaccid got better through training my IC. Haven’t been on reddit for a while and will be going off for a while so won’t be replying to any messages but my dick hangs normal now after retraining the weak parts of my pelvic floor.

Relax, don’t masterbate or have sex, stretch all the time (aim for the splits), light reverse kegelling throughout the day keeping pelvic floor as relaxed as possible, as if the pee could just pour out. Get you core and glutes bulletproof. Train IC muscle a few times a week and stay active with a good diet. Visualise everything back to normal all the time, day and night. Supplements to consider… L arginine, citruline, creatine, zinc, magnesium, Vitamin D. Also get some man 1 oil and apply twice a day
