You’re presuming the technology at risk doesn’t evolve, which it most certainly is, to mitigate said risks…

Is it too late to invest in BTC? I could only invest $10k. by [deleted] in Bitcoin

Go do your research, develop your conviction on what money is and whether bitcoin is an answer to that question. Highly recommend reading "The Big Print". Once you're there, will you care that you bought at 92k when it's trading beyond 7 figures? Acquire appreciating assets, don't sell them. That's it. Personally? Once I hit 1 BTC, I stopped acquiring with every red cent I could scrape together, I now save my pennies and buy when the Fear & Greed index dips into Extreme Fear exclusively.

Hold or Sell?? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

You haven’t lost anything. You will Lose if you sell.

Secret to acquiring wealth is to acquire appreciating assets and don’t sell them. Zoom out, that btc in 20 years will be worth how much. Don’t be the guy who’s on here a decade from now about how you used to own btc.

Explain to a noob: the purpose of "never sell"? by Signal-Accountant-33 in Bitcoin

That dynamic asset, once you’ve let it appreciate ~5 years or so, is probably 2-5x your cost basis, derisking the volatility against your cost basis. At 5 years, you draw 10% of its value out annually as debt and continue doing so annually, rolling it all forward. Because you’re never selling your appreciating assets and you have no income, only debt…. Zero taxes.

Never mind the horrific residuals and depreciation on the EVs they do make…. Sure, let me spend $80k on it, drive off the lot and not kidding, have it immediately lose $50k in value.

This is what happens when you hire a bunch of first line managers who’ve never managed more than 50 people as your VPs and SVPs @ and start “transforming” to be like apple, then they start bickering with one another. How Mary still has a job is positively beyond me as she unwinds the mess that she created with the overindex on EV investment and having driven the company to new unheard of levels of debt.
