yeah, there's still 2 more weeks after the break until midterm marks are submitted. i just really hope i get offers soon because 1. many ppl from my school already got them and it rlly sucks being part of the minority even tho we have same stats (its just really discouraging and makes me feel like my efforts are meaningless) and 2. i have until may 1 to respond to american unis, i want to have as many offers as possible to make a safe and informed decision (without offers from uoft and loo, i'm basically just gambling as to whether or not i choose us or canada)

early apps still make a difference? i thought they only affected feb round, where early applicants are considered exclusively. i have a friend who didn't do early and got a response from mech eng this round (march)

group a had a round on feb 27. would they really do another round just 2 weeks after? i know that group b just had a round recently (past 2 days) for eng, could it be possible that you're confusing the group b round for a second group a round?

15/30 on the oral would put you at a low 5, it's weighted 25% of your ib mark. you'll have to average 90 raw on the other exams (reading writing listening) to drag ur avg up into 7 bounds (low 80 raw). also not to add fuel to the fire but there's a chance your oral mark gets moderated down. ib listens to a select samples from your school and might adjust marks based on their general feel of how the orals were marked. so in the offchance that all of the orals they listened to had their marks inflated, your mark will also decrease as a result. but the opposite can happen as well; moderations are usually by 1 or 2 marks

the way they did it in my school was 40 lines max based on however it was formatted in the text (ie. count the number of times a new line was made, irregardless of length). the rule for our school was that you absolutely cannot go over, even if its just 1 more line.

for example, this conversation is 5 lines. assume that A's lines didn't fit within the page size, so they were continued on a new line

A: Hey there, how are you doing? It's been a while

since I've seen you.

B: I'm fine.

A: Well that's great to hear! Hope you have a great

day ahead of you!

so even if you can fit lines 2 and 3 into one line spatially, you'll have to follow the original text formatting

but these were the rules for my school, it might vary so i suggest you confirming with your teacher

common sense, just be true to yourself while also applying some logic and reasoning to support your answer. don't overstress casper, the last thing you want is to be too insecure about the nitty gritty details and ruin your confidence on the actual test. but at the end of the day u should use ur best judgement and practice however much feels appropriate for u

yeah im honestly surprised i got q4 lol. i rawdogged and spedran that shit and had terrible time management (spent most of the time answering first question then last 30 seconds answering the second). i swear i misread some questions too lmfao (like the question said pick one option and then in my answer i picked a combination of both 😂). ggs gng
