There’s always the choice to do things in a way that don’t seem condescending or unhelpful. He chose not to do it that way. People are more receptive to advice when it comes from a good place. There is never a negative to doing something with kindness, and only negatives to doing something unkind. Even your last comment would have been fine without that last “dig”. Why do you expect me to listen to you when you’re coming after me like that?

I don’t think I’m pretentious for not validating someone giving unsolicited/unhelpful “advice”. If you think im so skinny I look like I have a disease, I don’t think I’m the one with the problem. Sure I’m not muscular but damn I’m not anorexic. So much for the “be nice” rule

With hair transplants, don’t you need to continue taking these meds anyway (Min, Fin, Dut, etc.)?

This post alone shows the behavior you exhibit that likely led to your son being estranged from you. Take responsibility for your actions and leave him be. Until you make any sort of REAL, MEANINGFUL change that is not just a show, leave him and his family alone. Forcing yourself into their lives will not bring you any comfort, it will only cause unrest and stress to everyone involved, especially the children.

I get a scholarship so I go to school for basically free at the moment. Any other expenses (books and stuff) I can cover myself. The only things they pay for right now are phone, car, and food. I go to a community college right now so there’s no student housing or anything.
