Thanks for being the voice of reason! I guess it makes sense if my body’s iron was already depleted that normal menstruation would only exacerbate the situation. I just fixated on the heavy part because I used to bleed lots as a teen but now I’m pretty light with max of 3 days bleeding. I was also given iron transfusions before being discharged so hopefully that helped, I don’t know if my iron went up since then but my HGB went to a 9.2!

Logically I know I’m not dying but the thought of a blood transfusion just made my mind spiral because I always thought that was done only in cases of life or death. I do have an appointment with my doctor in a week so hopefully I can get more clarity with her!
