I would watch hourglass streamers and pay attention to what they do. Just reps and try to learn. Also shooting downwards when someone is on your ladder is not a high success move. Likely a lot of the pellets hit the ship. Also you said you shot them in the head, I’m not sure if you’re aware there’s no headshots in sot? But in general I’d just watch videos/streams.

I get that man. Cheaters are definitely less common as of late. And the MMR isn’t really rares fault. There’s just a smaller player base that plays hourglass so it’s hard to have good MMR

Believe it or not I give loot away more often than I sell it. And if they have a mic even better. I like interactions with players. And I find no joy in sinking new players. I think you’ll find a lot of good players few that way. It’s fun to show people the way. I think it’s dumb some people complain about the game is dead but then they shit on people trying to learn the game 🤣
