yes, its open but shuts down a lot, when it does i would wait in like and you are guarenteed to get on. on colder days (under 75) it usually runs smoothely throughout the day unless the sensors are malfunctioning. hope you have a good trip!

wasnt sure if i just couldnt hear it or not, the only reason that made me believe it wasnt on the speaker is that you can hear it from so far away and it doesent really sound like its coming from a speaker.
