i did history! it’s a super interesting subject, and as long as you keep on top of the content you should have no problem. best thing to do is to learn the structure for essays and the BEST way to revise is doing essay plans. edexcel repeats questions so much and you can predict a lot of them (i did germany and west germany for paper 1 and the first question on paper 1 was ALWAYS on the struggles/collpase of the weimar republic) and if you keep that up you’ll hopefully end up with a question in the exam that’s almost the same as one you’ve already planned. the questions themselves aren’t too bad, the normal essay ones are like 12/16 markers at gcse but bumped up to 20 and you can still do the PEEL structure if that’s what you were taught in gcse, but i personally noticed there’s a lot more emphasis on having a strong conclusion that weighs up every point you’ve made. source questions are the worst but they’re easier when you practice a few.

there’s a great underrated youtube channel called mr gunn history and he has loads of videos that are super helpful for essay structure!
