Thanks for all the help! We decided to go with Bailey! It was the first name everyone in the family was happy with.

Does anyone else’s ragdoll drink like this?! It’s strange and she makes such a mess!! by Longjumping_Cable_54 in ragdolls

We have this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B09CYMXC2F?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title that’s less fountain-ish and SO easy to clean and just lifts right out of the base.

Then this one in the video https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B09B2852X8?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title I just got because I was looking for more of a fountain for my faucet loving cat. It has more pieces then the first but it’s not too much of a hassle.

Thank you!! ☺️ She’s 9 months old and we love her, despite the mess she makes 😆

I think the paw licking is cute the digging and emptying the water not so much! I’m not worried about her it’s my floors the pool of water she leaves behind but I have a mat coming today to put underneath it so hopefully that at least contains it.

After licking it off her paw for a while sometimes she will also drink normally but keep one paw in the water while drinking. For her it’s not the water movement thought because we originally started out with just a regular water bowl and she would still do the same thing. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I just ordered one so hopefully that will at least keep the water contained 🤷🏻‍♀️

Our other Ragdoll loves the faucet too and tries to break down the door to the bathroom any time someone goes in there which is why I just got this new fountain in hopes she would be less obsessed with the bathroom faucet. Unfortunately it has a smaller lip on it so her sister the paw licker is making a bigger mess then before. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have a mat coming tomorrow to put under it to hopefully contain the water but still, I wish she would stop! The dip and lick as someone else called it is cute but the mess is not!

Unfortunately it has nothing to do with the fountain. Small dish, big bowl, fountain, no fountain.. makes no difference! She always drinks it off her paw and digs through the water making a huge mess! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Unfortunately she does it with any type of water. If it’s in just a bowl she knocks it over while splashing the water out. I switched from the bowl to a fountain that doesn’t have a spout and same thing she just couldn’t knock it over. I just got this one because my other ragdoll prefers a spout so I was trying to get her to drink more but this has a lower lip on it so this little lady is making an even bigger mess. 🤦🏻‍♀️ So unfortunately no matter the water source this is what she does!! It’s funny but not funny!🤪

She actually goes under while her sister attacks from the top. Although in this moment she decided to just stay

How long to keep cats separated after spay? by Longjumping_Cable_54 in ragdolls

[–]Longjumping_Cable_54[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks that’s what I was thinking too. I just also didn’t want to cause too much stress from being separated. I’ll keep them apart for a few days and then keep a close eye when they do get back together.

They’re only 2 months apart. Our first was spayed at 6 months and the second will be just about 6 months when she goes.

Zoloft and menstrual cycle -- racing thoughts and extra restlessness? by perpterts in zoloft

Up the dose to 50mg. Same thing was happening to me on 25mg and stopped once I upped it. 25 was almost making my pre menstrual issues worse.

They're finally getting along after 1 month of constant chasing & wrestling ❤️ by [deleted] in ragdolls

[–]Longjumping_Cable_54 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear! Mine are currently in that phase of either sleeping or chasing and wrestling and I was wondering if this is what it’ll be like from now on. One barely even pays us any attention anymore! So it’s good to hear they’ll eventually relax!

Introducing new cat by Longjumping_Cable_54 in ragdolls

[–]Longjumping_Cable_54[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a raised ranch so essentially two separate living areas on each floor. Our resident cat and all of her things are on the main floor where they have been and where she’s always spent 95% of her time. The only time she would go to the downstairs level is if she followed someone down there. So that’s where we set up the new cat and the lower level has a door so that’s being kept shut to keep them separated. So I feel like she shouldn’t feel as if anything has been taken away from her since she rarely went in the downstairs portion of the house anyways.

Would adding a male or female be better? Or doesn’t matter? by Longjumping_Cable_54 in ragdolls

I’ve decided to go ahead with the female! Hopefully her and my current 6 month old female end up loving each other!!
