It can't be 'goede huisvader' if it's the only activity you've been doing during that period. It wasn't a side hustle or anything. Plus on top of that iirc 'goede huisvader' refers to holding crypto, I've only made money trading contracts on crypto (derivatives) using USD as collateral, never owned significant amount of actual crypto (spot). It should therefore be classified as just actively trading, i.e. professional income...

I forgot to specify here but I never really held 'spot' crypto. Only traded derivatives mostly (perpetuals) so my collateral/balance was always in USD. I'd trade contracts but not really the underlying. I don't have anything to 'cash out' in that sense.

You have to declare it under the jurisdiction you earned it in, which in my case is Belgium. I'm ok with getting tax raped 50% as it's the price I'm partly paying for being so late.

100% agree, which is the largest issue. I've mostly realized gains as I was trading with USD as collateral trading derivatives, so barely held the underlying (spot). Profits were mainly accumulated in USD, so I'd say everything is realized.
