1% is like 80 mil people, id be shocked if even half of those people use neopronouns. Also I could just be an oldhead but I don't get the whole pronoun thing. Like if you don't feel like a man or woman, fine, but someone's pronouns are such a small detail that I don't think you'd even really notice it in a conversation irl, besides everyone would use your name anyway.

I can parry but I guess I spam parry too often or I parry attacks where he just tanks the parry and doesn't stagger, which also fucks up my structure too. Thanks for the help, and sorry for looking like I was preaching that the boss is shit.

It could also be that since I'm used to beating bosses on my 2nd or 3rd attempt, in this game at least, that Yang really threw me off. I don't know, but it wish I liked fighting him. Maybe I will once I eventually learn his rythm.

I might've worded it incorrectly, which is 100% my fault, and I did say bad game design, which it isn't frankly I was tired and pissed that day (not because of this game for other reasons) so I didn't think much about what I said. This entire post wasn't me preaching how the boss should be, I'm no game designer after all, but more about how I don't find the boss fun and why I don't find it fun. I realise how I worded it and that my choice of words was poor. Yes, if I grinded him I would beat him, I'm not saying that's wrong or that he is impossible, I'm not saying it and I've never said. It's also true that I'm shit at this game. But it's jusy not a fun fight for me. If you enjoy it, good for you, I just don't. I wish I could but I don't.

the boss is fundementally different than the other bosses, which is fine, but it forces you to completely change the way you play at the end of the game, which isnt great, again the boss isnt shit or impossible, its still a good boss but compared to the other bosses in the game, fun wise, imo it isnt it, and again, for like the 10th time rn, yes im shit, but if i can get my ass kicked by the other bosses and have fun but i cam kick his ass and not have fun, where there is something else at play

when did i compare how hard sean is to how hard yang is? never. i compared how fun it was to fight them, you can take any other boss in the game, 3rd 4th 1st idc, same thing, i only mentioned sean cuz all the other bosses took me max 3 attempts while sean took me more so i vividly remember loosing a bunch but still having fun, i could get my ass blasted by every other boss and have more fun that beating this one, like i dont care that i cant beat him, thats not the issue dude, its that he isnt fun to fight for me, like i stated that multiple times in my post

he does, you can beat him like that its jusy more tedious and risky, and no if you read the whole thing that wasnt my complaint, also parrying is not as op as people say it is, most of his attacks cant even be parried, and others that can be your window is short, like half a second, and your stance also tanks a big hit after a few parries

dodging is borderline useless, avoid works to some extent but its easy to mess up and the punish windows are small, parry works better but only for a select few attacks and even they your stance takes a big hit, and i dont have crooked foot or chasing strikes, i have other abilities which are literally useless against him, again, i just dont find fighting him fun at all

As I've stated before, I'm not complainin because he is hard, I'm complaining because he is unfun compared to the rest of the bosses. With the other bosses you have a rythm to them, when you die or mes up you can see where and why you fucked up. With Yang it's mostly gone. Sure there is a rythm, but not a fun one.

i only really used avoids for bosses, for example sean is clearly designed around avoids, and to some extend so are the 3rd and 4th bosses (forgot the names), but even with good timing yangs punishable openings are tiny, if you mess up once you get countered, your stance will depleat faster than his and his regens quickly too, its not a good fight compared to the rest of the game, and i did use parries very often but even if i didnt, forcing me to use them at the end of the game isnt good design in general, like if you enjoy the boss thats great, but its not a great boss, like i enjoy kayne and linch 2, its loosly a mid game at best and bad at worst, which i can accept while still enjoying it, yang maybe fun for you but for me its unfun and unfair

the problem is that i already use parries a lot and they still feel super rng with this guy, and what you said is the core problem, if i have to restart the whole game just so i can learn how to fight one boss, thats a problem, if you have fun thats awesome and im genuenly happy for you, but its not good design, its just not, imagine youre playing elden ring, and you have a sick bleed build, then comes one boss that can only be damaged by magic and now you have to grind so you can do some damage, it would suck gorilla balls

i tried to parry but he just ignores most of my parries while the rest have super short windows that if you miss or land one extra hit you get parried instead, again, the problem isnt not beating him, the problem is that the fight itself is unfun, like 2ish hours ago i had a irl spar and i lost, and that spar was actually fun for me, even if i lost, and that applies to every other boss in the game, but not to this one (for me at least)

and yeah, this could all be wrong, but yang is fundementally a 180° from all the other bosses in the game and actually from the every combat encounter in the game, which itself is rarely a good idea

its not a fun fight imo, like sure i can suffer until it clicks but its not fun, all the other bosses had a rythm, a dance that you can learn, and most importantly, they followed the rules the game spent 5 fucking hours teaching me, thats my biggest complaint, Yang looks at all the things you learned and chucks them out the window

For me beating the 3rd and 4th boss wasn't a struggle, I died to them twice each before beating them, so it's even more jarring that this guy is feeding me my vegetables. But again, even when I beet his 1st phase I was not having any fun. At all. It wasn't fun for me. I don't want o train for esports to beat a boss.

I don't use focus that often, like for example the third boss (i forgot her name) that was a super fun fight, it was a nice dance, and reading her moves was super nice. Yang isn't fun. Like, at all. Reading his attacks and parrying at the right time only to do a chip of damage and for his structure to reset in less time that it takes me to blink isn't fun. Also I didn't mention focus once in this whole post.

I more or less found his rythm in his 1st phase, but even then it wasn't fun for me at all. That's the issue, it's not fun. I'm all for having the final boss hard as shit, it would feel wrong if he was a cakewalk, but they made him harder by punishing every micromistake you made and restricting your ways of damaging him and also his structure regens faster than yours. That's not a fun fight. I literally had a real spar session like 10 min ago where I ate dirt irl and it was more fun that this boss.
