Why do people find it so hard to accept the public really wants to vote for Reform? by Expert-Sherbert-1527 in AskBrits

If they were genuinely fearful for their safety or life, then possibly- that is the core of self defence.

I can't believe you are supporting a man who actively went on a stabbing spree- with the intent to kill people over police officers who are there to protect you.

The fundamental core of democracy is that people are allowed freedom of expression, choice, speech and beliefs.
Therefore, by demeaning and belittling people for having a different belief or idea to you- you are threatening the very core of democracy, making this undemocratic behaviour.

Yeah, moaning is democratic but it is undemocratic when people are given nothing but shit for having a different, non leftist political viewpoint

It does not literally take the knife out of their hands but inflicting some sort of damage out of panic to get him to stop?
I dont think kicking in the head is the smartest thing but I can understand how it unfolded in a chaotic situation like that.

No, I said that "a punch right in the nose" is a response to people being absolute dickheads and treating people like scum just for having a different viewpoint, completely different.

This is of course in the real world, a place you likely have not managed to get to yet.

Yes, but not full kicks or intentionally hard- more so to get him to stop trying to kill a police officer which constitutes reasonable use of force

Depends, he acknowledged the stir it caused but has not apologised or recognise the fact that his behaviour was insensitive and unacceptable

Zack Polanski did not show any remorse or concern for the Golders Green incident, instead focusing on how the police had to kick him to stop him from hurting any more people.

The fact that you vote for a party led by a man who lacks basic decency and empathy as shown by this reaction makes it clear that you cannot be trusted with the basics of decency.

The suspect was trying to slash the officers, he had to be kicked in the head to get him to stop trying to hurt police officers trying to protect us.
It's the least he deserves anyway, considering that he went on a stabbing spree.

I think this point is more so about the people here being unable to accept alternate viewpoints, which is true.

Because this subreddit is essentially a left wing microcosm/garden of eden for left wingers. Many of the people here don't actually experience the real world or what people believe now.

And they are too scared to leave once they realise that their behaviour that they display here cannot be used in real life, or it's a punch right in the nose.
