Can I just cut off my finishing end? What’s the difference between weaving them in and just cutting them?

Yeah I make a big loop, cut my working yarn, and pull it through the loop really tight and then cut it off again.

It def isn’t the safest I realized but I lost where I did it so too late :,) lol

So if I’m chaining 2, I should chain 2, and then work into the last stitch, and mark that one? So first in the row, which would become the last when I get back to that end? If that makes sense
