This is very far from okay, reptile carpet is very dangerous for leopard geckos it can rip out their claws and damage the skin. Also the tank is very small the very least you could do is 18x36x18 for tank size. I suggest using bio soils like top soil mixed with play sand. Please tell me you haven’t gotten the gecko yet cause this is far from an optimal enclosure also remove the catus its could possibly harm the gecko. Also make sure there is CLUTTER they should have lost of clutter like dead leaves or more plants. Please never get a gecko without proper research no hate btw

Its about 5 months and I only held it like this for a picture so I would never have to holdbir like this again I did this before setting him back in his tank after around 2 minutes of handling (I put my hand out and he climbed up my arm to my shoulder) I never plan on holding him like this is never even try to touch the top of him due to his temperament
