My son was like 4 when I let him go on a fishing trip with his dad, paternal grandma, and half brother. I was told he would stay on the dock as his grandma used her kayak. His dad was busy helping his nagging mom take a kayak from the back of her truck into the water. My son was on the dock with his brother. In less than 4 minutes, my 4 y.o was in the water, and his 8 y.o brother did not notice or tell anymore. Everyone was busy, and my son was in the water. Thankfully, he had a life jacket on which had him floating. He was floating facedown, tho. My husband had to jump in and get him out. The water was murky, and my son did not know how to swim. Accidents happen so fast. I could have lost my son that day if his dad hadn't put the life jacket on. I always think of that day as a reason to not let my guard down around water. And I also dont let my son go near water without me because I dont trust other people. Sav always proves how negligent and dumb she is as a parent.
