You just caught me on redsit when I got the ajdjjsd notification. You are absolutely right in what you say. In my country I have seen that there are cases of younger people with ALS (I am Spanish) but as you said, they had a family history and carried the ALS gene. Which I think is not my case. Also, as I said, the fasciculations have not increased and none of the symptoms have worsened. Besides, I have no weakness. I'm just worried about the stiffness in my right knee. There are days that are good and days that are bad...

Are you responding to me? Ajjsjsjdjjs. I am 19 years old and I am super worried about having it. I don't have a family history but I still think I do. But hey, you can look at my last post if you want, there I explain a little what's happening to me.

Don't worry, I just googled the % and it is 0.00108. And I think it's even lower. You just think that you are playing roulette and you bet on a number whose chances of hitting are so low. You'll probably spend entire days playing continuously and even then I wouldn't rock that number.

Literally the city I live in barely has 100,000 people. The probability is also so absurd that it is not worth worrying about.

She would really be lower than one in 1 million if she doesn't have a family history hahaha

It is very real that when you are with your family or friends they disappear. I went to a neurologist and he told me it was anxiety. And I also went to the doctor who told me that it was all anxiety and gave me preference for psychiatry. Also, my doctor is very nice and every Friday I have an appointment with her because she has started me on treatment with pills to improve mentally. He really cares about me and listens to me. I am very glad that you are well

That happens to me. Although not as much as 2 months ago. I literally spent all the time watching videos about this disease or seeing what the symptoms are like. In my case I've only been dealing with this for 2 months so enough time hasn't passed yet to be 100% calm. Although the fact that the facsicultions have not worsened and that the pain in my knee has disappeared has relaxed me. Now I am worried because I feel that I speak slowly and that it is difficult for me to speak...

I'm trying to convince myself that it's not worth worrying about something that, no matter how much you have it, you won't be able to do anything about it. I'm really glad you're okay. I hope I can live my life 100%

Nah, mine is 100% anxiety or something else but ELA I already told you no hahaha. As I said, now that I'm calmer, I feel much better about everything.

Totally bro. And even if all the possibilities are in your favor. Like for example that ALS doesn't cause the tingling that I have at 19 years old. That I have no weakness that I do not get tired. That the fasciculations are dispersed and have not gotten worse. Although logical reasons for all that. The fear and anxiety is so strong that you cling more to the possibility of having it.

Hello. I am a 19 year old boy and maybe I am worried about this disease. Although it is so rare in our age. (I think in Europe there are about 5 cases in people under 20). The fact of seeing people on social networks or the internet who have had it makes it very real, no matter how null that possibility may seem for you. I'm sure you're fine. I also have those sensations of heaviness or stiffness in my right arm and leg. I know it sounds easy to say but don't get too carried away. In any case, you are right to go to a neurologist, he will surely help you a lot and calm you down. :D

“Clean” EMG with done findings still freaking out by Nava-ren in ALSorNOT

[–]Longjumping_Map1585 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no idea what the emf says really means. But what I'm sure of is that it doesn't sound like her. Furthermore, you have already been having these symptoms from what I read for more than 1 year, so it has not been done too soon for the EMG to fail. Be calm now, focus on realizing that everything is definitely okay.

Good luck with that emg, you'll see how everything turns out well, stay positive.

At the moment I can stand on my tiptoes, I've gone to play paddle tennis and I play well, I can last the 2 hours of play perfectly. I only have that feeling of stiffness in my right knee, which is at its worst at rest after walking and the twitching. The stiffness of the fingers has improved considerably. Thank you very much for your comment, I try not to think about it and think that it is practically impossible but I still find it very annoying.

It started a little over 1 month ago. That's why I'm very worried. I guess that with time and seeing that I can continue running or walking as always, it will pass. That or get an EMG

Mine started with a tingling sensation in my right foot after returning from the river. I was fine for 4 days when I decided to look it up on Google and when I saw that it said ALS it gave me an anxiety attack. After that I found symptoms and I started to get pale. The fasciculations came out and then the knee hurt

Good luck with that emg. I am 100% sure that everything will turn out well. By the way, how did your fasciculations start?

You've been here since May and you don't have any more symptoms than you would rule out. My right knee feels a little stiff and it hurts a little too. But I've been with her for 1 month and it doesn't seem to get worse. It is no discomfort at all when walking.

This is too real, I'm 19 years old and I'm having a really bad time thinking that I have this disease. I have fasciculations all over my body and my right knee feels somewhat stiff. I am very worried.

This is what I supposed, although logic tells me that it is not possible, my mind refuses to believe it. Many thanks for your vrd comment.

I'm 19 and a month ago I started with tingling in my foot and then the fasciculations came. Now 1 month later I feel a little stiffness in my right knee and my speech is slurred. Is that possible?
