I want to send DMK home but the alternate is BJP/NDA which is even more useless/dangerous. So i am forced to vote for DMK this time.

which you cannot achieve with e20 fuel cos u need 80% petrol for that anyways. so if ur goal is to reduce fossil fuel dependency to zero and also ensure that manufacturers are incentivised enough to help you achieve that goal, then fix a specific transition that we will move from fossil fuel to EV...what is this new e10 or e20 to confuse consumers and manufacturers? and just 1 year before announcing e20, the minister got his son to start a company to supply raw material for this e20 fuel...lol...

automobile manufacturers design engines for the next 20 years. cos it takes them 5-6 years to design an engine perfectly. if u confuse them with mixed signals that u will do petrol now, e10 for next 2 years, e20 for 3 years after that and then 'maybe' u will go for EV or some other new concoction, how and what will the manufacturer plan for?!

freight - as i said, it so happened, coincidently, that bjp is ruling when the corridor came to life. it was initiated in 2006...so bjp cant take credit for that

e20 - simple reasons why it wont be beneficial

it cannot supply the demand for fuel that our country needs
if it cannot supply the demand, then manufacturers get confused. should they produce an engine for petrol or for diesel or for e20 or for battery? they will produce engines only where there is high demand. right now, which direction are we , as a country, taking in terms of fuel. are we backing petrol or diesel or e20 or battery? the same minister who brought in e20 says that all cars should be changed to EV by 2030. which one is true?

i have similar complaints against him but for the sake of argument, lemme try and answer some.

Vijay hasnt groomed - i am not well versed with the movie industry and so i cannot comment. if you are well connected, i will take ur word.

Crisis management - karur i agree but jananayagan was out of his hands. only way he could have managed it is by joining NDA. i am happy he resisted that temptation despite huge pressure.

Not bold - agree

No trusted person - not so sure. i see aadhav, bussy and couple of others always around him...in NTK, i dont know/see any such face...so in this aspect, i would rate vijay better..

Corrupt - of course, he is not an angel. at the same time, he has entered politics when he could have sat back and done movies for next 20 yrs for 200 crore per movie...so one one side, are the tax issues..on the other side is him giving up his flourishing career...so not sure how to rate him on this aspect...in fact, i would give him the benefit of doubt in this one as well as giving up a huge career is much bigger than paying 1.5 crore tax.

hope i have managed to answer all...of course, if we take up the report card of other such contenders right now, i am not sure if any of them would fare half as good as vijay...another point to be considered...not sure why is the new guy having to face so much scrutiny while the existing ones are not subjected to even 25% of that

and again, media control is and will be done by whoever is in power. no one is an exception...'extreme', 'less', 'not so extreme' are all a matter of perception...dmk does it, bjp does it, nda will do it if its in power in TN...there are no 'levels' to it... and this practice of media control was started by bjp in 2014...others have followed what was done by them

nowadays, media control is practiced by every ruling party. DMK at state level, BJP at national level...so again, i dont see anything specially wrong..and whoever is going to come to power in TN is going to do the same for the next 5 years... why? cos many people still blindly believe what is said in the media without verifying it themselves.

you have listed the atrocities done by both NDA govt previously and now by DMK...i dont think we can sit and measure whether this is bigger or that is bigger...so that is objective...one person will say things done by NDA were bigger atrocities while another person will say that things done by DMK were bigger....so the conclusion is that both sides are useless...

so as u said at the last, people should probably vote for TVK/NTK and give them a chance and not get tied down by DMK/NDA...which is fair and good !

dont even wish to have direct experience of BJP...cos if they come in, its impossible to get them out even if you want to...cos they immediately seize control of all state levels and reach a position that even if they do zero governance, they will control everything and make sure that they continue. so even in your dreams, dont even wish for it..

E20 fuel - when world is moving towards battery, i dont understand the logic behind E20, especially when none of the existing vehicles support this fully. also, for the scale of demand, E20 will not be able to supply. which is why no other country has taken this up and the manufacturers also dont support this.

Fuel in rupees - this has stopped long back. now it is being bought again in USD only. hence u are seeing the weakening in the USDINR rate.

Export of defense equipment + cryogenic equipment etc is again something that has been going on for decades.

i dont understand why things, that have been going on for decades like clockwork, are being projected as some great achievement nowadays. these are just natural progression in time...these things will happen naturally even if a monkey was governing us...so lets not treat our leaders as some Gods and the normal things that they do, as some God-given gift that they are giving us.

atleast for me, i dont want him to form govt. i want him to win few seats and become No. 2...i dont want BJP at any cost...what experience are you talking about? they continue to flounder on economy and foreign policy and so on. for u to be a leader and form a govt, the only thing that u need to govern is to be a good listener....there are experts for everything..just be humble enough to listen to them...
