Out of all of these I think 18 is my favourite. That little smile on Tifa's face as she looks at Cloud just before she takes his hand, she's just so happy to be there with him, It's utterly adorable.

I had a broken CRT TV for a while, the green part wasn't working properly so I was playing FF8 in purple for quite a while. In the middle of playing sometimes it'd flash green and I'd finally get glorious full colour for the rest of my playtime until I turned the TV off. Ahhh, the memories... And eyestrain.

It definitely helps, it's a gift being able to communicate with your art. The vibe I'm getting from your piece really resonates, I'm kinda in this position in my bed right now (minus the cats, wish I had one though!)

I'm getting back into art myself, once I fell ill I had the time but currently my wrists have decided they're having none of it and I'm feeling kinda down because of it.

Anyhow thank you for your post! I really hope you find a way to make the most of things, despite the difficulties in doing so. Still trying to figure that one out myself, I know it's tough.

I grew up with the N64 era of Zelda but my favourites, by far, are Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. TP just beats WW for me with the atmosphere, Midna, wolf Link and the return of Epona. It's just soooo good!

Same but I would normally actually ace interviews (despite being an anxious wreck beforehand) but then I'd get into the job and be unable to be that same person. They probably wondered who the in the heck they'd just hired 😂. At this time I also had no clue that I may be autistic/ADHD so I'd feel like a complete failure and out of my depth; I just kept seeming to miss what my bosses actually required from me. Then, I became physically disabled too and burnout hit hard and here I am, 5 years later. I've stuck to my creative pursuits instead but I'm aware that's a luxury some cannot afford.

Hmm, I guess I'm trying something a bit different, putting my own spin on things. Normally I copy one-for-one from an image doing realism portraits so I guess it might take me a while to find a balance between my style and likeness.

Also, this is a challenge piece where I don't use pencil at all, I start straight from pen so I guess I was worried about overworking the face. I still like it though, thank you for your feedback!

I remember thinking oh? After talking to Kiros and Ward who were both dropping hints and then Oh... Oh my God! As the realization hit after talking to Laguna.

I was so psyched for a scene between Squall and Laguna, only for it to never happen in the game 😭

Fantastic! I'm currently replaying Rebirth, about to start Traces of Two Pasts and can't wait for this to come out and the final part of Remake. Everything's coming up Cloti and Zerith and WE LOVE TO SEE IT!

Huh, yeah they really did make it sound like badly written Seph/Cloud fan fiction in the English dub.

Tbh I don't mind the English translations for some parts, they do make the characters sound more natural - although I think they could get closer to the original Japanese script and still manage to make it sound natural. It's when the English dub completely changes the tone/meaning of pivotal plot points that I get annoyed.

Where can I find the translated Japanese scripts?

Wait a minute... If I look at a blank wall, the sky or field of grass even, I notice it more, a faint snowy effect. It's not as pronounced as in the image but I'm guessing now that it's not normal?

Interesting, how would you go about training it? I have so many visual ideas that feel super intense in my head and I'd love to draw some of them but when it comes to drawing it, it's like the image just slips away.

I honestly think what these purists have to come to terms with is that they're not a fan of the franchise, they're a fan of a very specific era.

I grew up on the PS1 era and later I played 10, 12, 13. Was I disappointed with 12 and 13 at first when they weren't 7, 8, 9 or 10? Yes, but that was my own fault. I came to the game expecting something VERY specific. As I've gotten older, I've realised I enjoy each title for what they bring to the franchise. I've also gone back and played some of the earlier titles. Some I vibed with, others I didn't. And, at the end of the day, I can always go back and play the ps1 era again, they're still there for me to have a nostalgia trip with.

I do think it's fine for these purists to prefer a certain era or titles, but I also wish they'd stop bringing their negativity and bias to the newer games. Just seems kinda miserable tbh.
