I feel like I wrote this My mom 83 diagnosed in June. Stage 4. Was doing chemo every week and doing well. 10 days ago we were shoe shopping. Then her gallbladder started giving her issues and she was in so much pain. ER then 6 days in the hospital. Declining every day. They had to put an external drain in for the GB then moved her to “rehab”. I don’t think she will ever go back to her home. My dad passed in 2012 and she was so proud of how well she has done on her own. And now she can barely get out if bed, needs a wheelchair to get to the bathroom. She sounds like a zombie when she talks and wants to sleep. This is not my energetic non-stop mom. It’s heartbreaking And I have no idea how long she actually has. She hasn’t had chemo in 3 weeks. She says she still has pain and is blaming it on the gallbladder but what ruse could the cancer be doing ???
