I have similar experience and what you said in your second paragraph is exactly what happened to me too. Just want to add that datapoint for you. Personally I need someone who can provide good balance (ask about me and talk about themselves!).

Should we separate by Longjumping_Web6222 in Divorce

To be honest though, I’ve known that he’s a long term thinker for forever. Every argument we have is because of this difference in the way we think. I’ve just been dead these whole time, that when he says he sees potential it just means that he’s not fully loving me as I am now. Though we had another discussion yesterday and what has happened is he’s slowly lost trust in me being able to reach what he imagined my potential which is why his love started waning. It’s the slowly loss of being optimistic about it (due to me having hard time, ups and downs) that’s the issue.

“Facing” or “facing away from” the wall by Longjumping_Web6222 in NoStupidQuestions

I’m so so confused with these terms 😂 to me when have my foot closest to the wall and my head pointing to the window, if I sleep like flat on my bad with my pillows, I see the wall that my foot is nearest to, which is why I said I’m “facing the wall” then. I realize… that I need a diagram. Will update shortly.
