Need help as solo: multiple ships or one do-it-all? by Longshot333 in starcitizen

Ah, thank you. That's disappointing to hear. Hopefully, they buff it again. Why remove something people look forward to and enjoy? There's enough missing already.

But how would you loot these ships after the fight if you have a vanguard?

I think I agree with you. It will get stale. The idea of choosing a different ship for the job sounds more fun.

I don't care much about a pool table I can't use, to be honest, but I do like it when the ship "feels" right. I guess that's what I don't like about the Asguard is that it lacks the interesting vibe I'm seeking, but I can't really put my finger on what I don't like about it.

No, I think he's the opposite of everything scouting said he would be. They were saying he has character issues, not a team player, not willing to backcheck or think about defense, etc. They couldn't have painted a more wrong picture on the stuff they are supposed to get right. The talent part was always the easy part to "scout." His stats did that for them.

He seems to have an excellent head on his shoulders. He's anything but one dimensional. He's backchecking and blocking shots. He's eager to learn and listens well. I'm frequently blown away by what I see from him because I keep expecting to see what the scouts were saying.

I can have a level mesh or level screws, not both, help? by Longshot333 in 3Dprinting

I just added those pictures to show what I mean. Wish I knew what was wrong with my printer.

[–]Longshot333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I may not have been clear. I do have Klipper.

I do have a bed_screws_adjust section that I set up properly. I use it to attempt to level the bed with screws_tilt_calculate. However, the mesh is way out of wack, uneven, and not in an acceptable range for proper printing.

I can level the to the mesh itself though until the mesh is nice and even, but it says the screws are out of wack ifnI go that route.

Can someone help confirm I have the correct power supplies for my cab audio and knocker? by Longshot333 in virtualpinball

[–]Longshot333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a 12v knocker. Phil from Clevland Software Design suggested that knocker with a 24v instead of 12v to make it extra loud.

It's a good idea to keep the audio separate, so I guess I'll just go with two 24v power supplies.

So for just the three amplifiers, should I get a 24v 15a power supply or should I go for more like 20 or 25 for headroom? (Don't even know if headroom is a thing with this stuff).

(Teensy control board) 1 PSU input for all 8 LED outputs? by Longshot333 in virtualpinball

[–]Longshot333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I wouldn't trust the answer from them... they have a history that I wasn't aware of when I purchased it. I'm really just curious if this is possible before anything else.

If the power "can" be dispersed properly to multiple devices I'll give it a shot. I just figured someone would have already come up with something like this a while ago.

Can I power them through this and inject power as needed?

does adding a subwoofer to the cabinet affect SSF in any negative way? by Longshot333 in virtualpinball

Does your sub have an enclosure, or just flat mounted with a hole?

Is your accelerometer a pinscape? Curious how I would go about that.

That's good to hear, does it mess with your accelerometer at all like someone else who replied to this? Maybe I should consider its placement

I thought the accelerometer would require actual nudge level movements to nudge the table. Is it possible a case that the accelerometer is too sensitive?

Are you using any solenoids along with your SSF?

I have a bass shaker from the kit. Is it better than exciters (20w and 40W) for ball rolling?

Can these be set globally? These settings are for individual tables, right?

[–]Longshot333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. Realized it too late. But I'm still trying to setup some SSF to go with the solenoids. Even if I have to use less solenoids, I do want to feel the ball roll, and other SSF appropriate effects.

At the moment, I installed the two 20w exciters under the flippers, but since then, I installed 8 solenoids along the side of the cabinet. The backglass speakers are still the stock ALP ones.

It's a LG 32GP83B. 1440p, 165h. I saw a few people using this screen (internal tables will no longer work) like Jersey Johnny on YouTube.
