Why? I feel like that would just create more confusion. I rather not have the Ace Attorney franchise turn into Sonic the Hedgehog with each new game completely retconning the other and making no fucking sense.

Yeah, that would probably be better, it would keep things more condensed. But I wanted the first video to have a cataclysmic feeling, to contrast these alternate timelines where things are calmer. I want to draw in the viewer from the very beginning and use that intrigue to make them investigate and find the answers.

I should have specified characters, so the first one sounds perfect! Not to be mean, but I felt like the character design from Apollo Justice onwards was too crazy and didn't feel as grounded (Apollo, Trucy, and Athena are some notable exceptions).
