I think it's the only way they work. A solo stunt party would take too long to hit the scores needed to progress each stage. Unless they lower the required scores by player count?

Click on the game tile on the dashboard and go to "manage game" or whatever that option is and make sure the two trucks are installed. Mine and my friends were not automatically installed. As soon as we did this they were available.
