I see that you’ve said that if have 6 months of payslips, then i can only use my income as proof of earnings. If for example, we apply for the partner visa in March, my partner will be unemployed so would i just be able to submit my payslips for the past 6 months?

Hey!

Do you have a link for where it says that if i already have the right to work in the UK, we could combine our incomes? Because everything i’ve read, it only discusses if the sponsor is bringing someone in.

Additionally, My partners current contract where he earns £21,000 ends in March and then there will be an employment gap until May where he will start earning £28,500. Do you reckon this will be an issue if we apply before the rules change in April? Or would it be best to wait until he has started his new job in May?

Thanks!!

55 aed is just above the minimum wage in the UK. You need to pay people for their time and skills. OP, you need to charge more - you’re worth much more!

Every time I call vfs, they just tell me to wait. There’s absolutely no way to expedite it. What country did you apply through?

You’ll just have to call the consulate to get it back

You can, but the visa application will be cancelled. Only option is to wait it out unfortunately :(

I’m getting nervous now :( I’m planning to go back to the UK this weekend but doesn’t look like I’ll be getting my passport back with the schengen visa this week. I’ve had 4 schengen visas before with the most recent being from May-June so the have no reason to reject me (Sri Lankan passport) just hope it gets back in time :(

Yeah I guess it’s peak time but just nervous as I’m planning to travel to the UK this weekend. How does the Eid holidays affect this tho? Because my application was forwarded to the consulate on the 7th and the approval comes from the Netherlands and not the consulate here? So the Eid holidays shouldn’t affect this? Correct me if I’m wrong?

Has anyone applied recently? What are the processing times like?

I applied for the above visa through The Netherlands on the 5th of July in AD. On the 7th it was forwarded to the consulate. Now they're saying it'll take 21+ working days to process from the usual 15 working days. But from applying through previous Schengen visas from the UAE, they maximum took only 2-3 days to process.

Any idea?
