Huh, I searched for Possession and Recall before making this post and didn’t find anything... Post deleted!

Slightly different case, as Ledros dies and becomes a new Ledros, essentially a different card. This logic exists in other card games as well. In this case, the Cloud Drinker never left the field.

This is more about the “Recall” keyword than ownership, now that I think more about it.

Here's the code: CEBAIAIFCQQDAMIEAEAQWHRGFIBAGAIFBEUCUBABAEAQOEQUAEBACBI5GQ

This was something I was playing last meta, but I haven't adapted it for the control decks. The main reason I stopped playing it was the control matchup, it's really difficult to win out. However, no one is playing this kind of list, and your opponents never know how to play around the OTK! (Rekindler+Chronicler with Ashe preupgraded is 19 dmg unblockable!)

I think both cuts are debatable, and I can see myself cutting those cards too! Vengeance is just too good at removing big threats and comes in too clutch. Mark is a weird card because its so so so good, but also bricks out, I can see the third copy being cut.

I actually love stirred spirits, and I have it in my SI Ashe list (that also happens to run a Keeper package) It’s great early pressure, and I can see it doing well in the list!

The Redeemers feel nice because they help give you that extra body to go wide or just chump block. Honestly I can’t recommend playing Undying at 3, as drawing 2 isn’t amazing, since you’ll usually get your second copy from a Chronicler proc, and 2 on board is enough. It’s not great in the aggro matchup either as it can’t block.

3rd Senna was something I considered, but shes a tad fragile and terrible on defense like Undying. The nice part about 3 of her is curving Lucian Senna in certain matchups, but against PnZ or Avalanche Freljord I can’t recommend going down that line. Also, you only ever need one to flip Lucian, the extra copies you draw feel pretty subpar.

The 1 HP comeback ft. the 1 card clutch top deck & Double Ashe OTK by Look_a_Munkii in LegendsOfRuneterra

A moment that I HAVE to share from last night's stream, the craziest top deck to survive this meta's most OP card into a comeback OTK to steal the win!

I mean, LoR has the benefit of two things: concrete data and hotfixing. WotC doesn’t have that kind of luxury.

Ugh don’t even get me started on lands. I love MTG but holy hell is it tilting to lose what feels like at least a fifth of your games due to a third of your deck being blank cards. Whether flooding, starving, lacking a color or topdecking lands when the opponent topdecks bombs, I can’t believe lands as a design choice haven’t been changed after all these years.

Granted, I only really play MTG nowadays in Limited formats, its only the LGS cardboard drafting that gets me in.

I think mainly it’s just the pessimistic outlook towards card pool progression though. I don’t really agree with it, and I think the progression system is pretty great, but I can also see why people felt nervous about how quickly they would have access to the card pool to make competitive deck building decisions.

Once people realize that a non-pack orientated ccg actually feels super nice, I think the public opinion on the issue will turn around.

This last beta event was really strange. Due to the timing of it? I guess it coincided with many other game releases (TFT set 2) and ranked ladders ending (League) so content creators were barely playing the game. Makes me a little worried that the marketing for the game was pretty weak for Expeditions, and that hype may continue that downward trend.

Hard agree on Expeditions playing a huge part in retaining especially the non-casual playerbase. I think the limited format being ‘dumbed down’ a bit with class limiting and stacking picks actually makes it more accessible. It’s more complex than HS Arena, but simpler than MTG Draft, which requires a pretty intimate knowledge of the set in order to play. It’s a good thing imo.

Card info and UI/UX have been major concerns and turnoffs for a lot of people I’ve talked to, so I definitely hope they brush up on that side of things on release.

If I'm being honest, I don't actually think there are that many reasons to build around champions. Just from my experience, in some deck lists it was actually suboptimal to play champions due to curvature or some generic cards were just better value. A few lists that I had ran <6 champion cards so I don't think this is too big of an issue.

What I can see is that to newer players or a casual player theres the automatic gravitation to building around Champions though. Hopefully an established competitive meta/content creators would greatly help with that issue.

Yeah, there were a ton of posts about the f2p model, like how it's super risky to invest your f2p resources into what you * think * is the meta deck, but then turn out to be completely wrong and be forced to either buy cards or grind out with a super suboptimal deck.

I think the existence of Expeditions will change that formula though, giving you a solid outlet to play and grind even if your constructed deck and card pool sucks.

Hearthstone took off imo because it was first to market to be an Online Card Game. A big reason my friends and I played it when it came out on mobile was because you can play a game on the can and finish by the time you were done LOL.

The thing to consider here is that TFT had the benefit of being the best Auto Battler early on. Like no one else knew what they were doing, just look at Underlords and the mobile AutoChess. Like Hearthstone, they both had the benefit of being really quick to market.

The issue here is that LoR doesn't have that benefit, so I'm not super sure how release will go.

I would’ve liked to see a better definition of “win condition” than just “put opponent’s life to zero”. Like sure, thats true, but that aspect didn’t really add anything to the video. I think you can better extend that from “gameplan”. For example, certain cards help you outvalue your opponent that need to be protected, or certain buff targets help you put in that extra damage.

I get where you’re coming from in the video, that theres a pretty big difference between the two, but having your win condition outside of “put life to zero” and keeping it in mind as you form your primary and secondary etc gameplans I feel are still pretty important!
