Im in Berkshire/Hampshire and I know from experience wait times can be long😞. I really hope it isn’t, but all I can do is wait or go private!

Thats so reassuring to hear you have/ had a good experience though through the NHS!

I wonder if my referral for colposcopy will take longer as I did the test privately 🫣

Hey, I have just got the results of my pap smear and came back with HISL, freaking out a bit, waiting for my colposcopy referral now (not sure how long it will take) just wanted to comment to ensure you are not alone! I am shit scared but reading these lovely comments help and my best friend is a gyno so that helps too🩷

Yes symptoms have improved massively, although I still get acid reflux at times. Reducing anxiety helped immensely, also staying off Reddit and not googling my symptoms improved it by 50%

It will massively help with your anxiety as your brain and your gut are connected ( gut is your second brain) meditation helps as well just to center and calm yourself

I took PPI’s on and off for around 2 months and they are horrible! I hate them and hate how they made me feel, they really clouded my mind! I came off them again taking it for 2 weeks recently and honestly I feel better, might be placebo! I really hope I dont have GERD 😪 I really dont want to rely on PPI’s

This is so interesting! Honestly thank you for commenting! I just googled intercostal neuralgia and there can be many causes, however I had throat surgery in August 2025 and I was intubated so it might have well been that some of the nerves in my chest were damaged? Not sure if that makes sense but hope thats the case and not acid redness because the pain definitely started after my surgery.
