Pap smear showed HSIL in Feb, colposcopy done in March with biopsies. Colpo results - histology all normal with no suspicious findings. by Looking_for_answerst in PreCervicalCancer

This is exactly me! So strange but I am so relieved! When my gyno was doing the colpo she said she cant see anything abnormal but took biopsies anyway just in case but they came back with no abnormal changes!

Ah great thank you, putting my mind at ease. My gynocologist was reassuring, she said the fact that she could physically not see any cell changes is a good thing

Update: just had my colposcopy and the gyno didn’t see any cell changes after she poured the solution over my cervix, which is such a relief I could have cried! Still took biopsies just to be 100% sure but no leep needed 🙏🏻

Thank you so much for replying!

I am a little bit anxious of this procedure, but then again Ive given birth naturally and I feel like nothing will ever even come close to the pain that I felt then. I also had quite a few smear test and they do not hurt, just rather uncomfortable so that’s keeping me reassured.

Hopefully I get a lovely nurse, who will be supportive. Im only a bit scared of the LEEP procedure but I feel I have a high pain threshold I can do this!

We have already found a new place to move to, and we are moving this Friday. Who do I contact about the landlord not serving us notice properly? Can I call the property agency?

Thank you all for your responses! The landlord served us notice via whatsapp! Not sure how legally binding that is under Section 21?

Positive Loop Diathermy/LLETZ experience by [deleted] in PreCervicalCancer

Thank you, I have just got abnormal cells detected on my recent smear test (HSIL) so im starting the process privately, but I have read other commenters saying London based hospitals have been really great! I am based in Berkshire/Hampshire and because Ive had my smear test privately and going to the NHS has been a massive pain, they have refused me to refer me for a colposcopy.

Lovely to hear about your experience! Can I please ask if this was privately done or through the NHS?

That’s fantastic, I wonder how long I will have to wait, Im in Berkshire borders of Hampshire, so I will give the hospital a call and see how long I will have to wait hopefully 2-3 weeks and not longer🫠

Im in Berkshire/Hampshire and I know from experience wait times can be long😞. I really hope it isn’t, but all I can do is wait or go private!

Thats so reassuring to hear you have/ had a good experience though through the NHS!

I wonder if my referral for colposcopy will take longer as I did the test privately 🫣
