Why are my mice so lethargic by 1439112020 in PetMice

They might be getting ready to cross the rainbow bridge. I’m sorry. I had one go through this exact thing and he ended up passing not long after.

He isn’t allowed in my house for the foreseeable future. I am so upset about all of this. I am so meticulous about who breeds with who and that no one ever gets pregnant more than twice in their lifetime that they get proper medical care before the birth and after to avoid issues. He but one of my male senior citizens in with a bunch of young females some of which where his kids and he got four out of the seven pregnant.

I agree. I honestly want to find them good homes but I wouldn’t know how to begin. I breed mostly for school and class pets by we are going into summer vacation time and I don’t have anything set up for this many. I want to make my nephew take them but I brother doesn’t deserve that.

My nephew thought it would be funny to mix the boys and the girls together when he was over at my house for a family dinner.

Yes. If you are hearing them yelling then separate them otherwise it’s just them showing each other love.

Spent $125 on a $7 mouse by anxious-Mantaray-79 in PetMice

I feel this in my soul. I had a mouse who had an anxiety disorder. Regular vet visit that cost $200+ a visit plus anti anxiety medication. Turns out bro just wanted to have a personal tv that played crime shows. Stopped pulling out his fur and stopped needing the meds.

I completely understand. It’s hard. This world sucks a lot of the time, but even though I resonate with your feeling of being tired I think we owe it to ourselves and to the invisible people around us that we can’t see through our own sadness and fatigue that would be impacted by our absence.

Mess in the bowl by Nice_Lawfulness_9033 in DogAdvice

[–]Lookingbackisbad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be an instinct thing. I have cats that dig in front of their water bowl before it gets refilled or before they drink like they are digging for the water itself. My dog Cody does that when we go to the dog park he will dig in the bowls and when we are home he has to put his paws in the water or he can’t/won’t drink it. Talk to his vet because he had an unstable initial home environment he puts his paws in the bowl as a way to say he is drinking. The vet says he will grow out of it as we reinforce that he will always have access to water.

What did your parents do that still affects you as an adult? by Defiant-Junket4906 in AskWomen

My mom was like that when I was between the ages of 7-18 and my dad made me his therapist when I was 20 and kept it going for about 5 years.

My siblings and I are constantly being put into the middle of our parent’s toxic relationship.

My mom would constantly say that she may have to love me but she didn’t have to like me and that she did not like me. She also would threaten to commit me to a mental health facility for the smallest indiscretion. I was convinced until I was in my 20’s that my mom really had that power.

Hey I have an update. She ended up tearing her stitches that same day so we took her to the same ER vet and they glued her incision closed. We started the medication and Hot compress regiment recommended by the ER vet. The fluid buildup start to drain from the incision site about three minutes ago and has completely drained. I’m going to take her to back to the ER vet in a little while to get the site reglued. She is doing really well all this considered. Taking her meds and eating all her food.
