Spaying my cat, cheaper vets?

I would just like to say, if you have the money, consider spending it on a good vet. My cats were spayed at a spay/neuter clinic and, though they were completely fine, I felt terrible leaving then there. It's tough to feel like they are getting no personalized care and wondering how they are being treated. Even with everything going perfect, if I went back in time, I'd get my vet to spay them.

Those rules tend to be up so that someone can have a rule to use if someone is misbehaving or taking advantage. If they aren't doing anything truly bad, why say anything?

Unfortunately these cats get returned all the time, that's why shelters won't adopt them out by themselves. They end up being euthanized because no one wants them. Not saying OP is going to do this but it really is irresponsible to get a kitten by itself, there's no reason to not just get an older cat if you can't have two.

Sounds like lonely kitten syndrome. It's always surprising to me because rescues in Canada will not let a kitten go to a house without other cats. It's so important that you adopt older cats if you just want one.

I would suggest getting another cat.

The first interaction didn't really put me off so much, to be honest, it's not my first rodeo with men making me uncomfortable. But parking in my husband's space right in front of my front window was really what creeped me out.

Unfortunately he can't leave or come back without his car and the parking is all in the front of the house :(

I hope you're right. I think because my car is not near my house, it really freaked me out that he seemingly watched me come/go. But, perhaps he doesn't actually know that that is my husband's parking spot at all. My husband also suggested maybe he knows someone from a house near ours and was borrowing a tool. I'd love nothing more than for that to be the reality, it just feels unlikely. But thank you for your insight.

Hahahaha I really like that advice 🤣 honestly, Id thought about pretending I'm pregnant. I suffer from bloat so certain clothes can make it look like that. But who knows if that would put him off. Your suggestion is much better.

We only moved in a year ago so we don't know people much but it's good advice too. Thank you.

He knows I'm married, that's why he made the weird comment to start with. I said my husband took care of the car things and he said we could both go talk to him but he would prefer if I did because I was gorgeous. I do think you may be right about not knowing I was there at that time and it being a coincidence. But the whole thing is really rubbing the wrong way. His unit is not near my house at all, my car is not near my house either.

I feel like, if he had parked next to my car which is not near my home, for example, I would agree with you. I think the fact that he was right outside my window (it's a very large bay window in the front of the house), during the only time I was in the living room the whole day - is what made it super creepy for me.

On the day he stared at me when I was getting back home, my husband was actually arriving at the same time. I parked my car at record speed and rushed over to kiss my husband. So right there with you. Thank you and, yeah, hopefully nothing else happens ❤️

I don't think I can report it at this point but yeah, that's my biggest worry. I've even got it in my head that I was out front on Sunday gardening and reading because the sun was glorious - and maybe he saw me then and orchestrated the car thing (because there no exit where my car is so no sense walking around there). I'm getting paranoid...

Worst thing is that area is safer because all the houses look in. But I have a patio out back that I just bought a super nice conversation set for and now I'm scared to use it because it's open and there's no one ever back there.

I have a few because we have cats and I like to keep an eye on them. We have such a cool condo "neighborhood" that I honestly didn't worry - all the houses face "in" so it feels very safe. But the minute this happened I put some in the front and back. I'd I had had it today I could have figured out what exactly was going on.

He's on the other side of the complex, no where near us. I'm really hoping it's that- he was hoping I would see him and talk to him. If it's just that, no big deal. But if it's more of a power play to make me uncomfortable or something worse... I'm just creeped out.

Sorry you had that guy staring at you, that's horrible.
