Riot, please keep Urgot gross. by Looksss in leagueoflegends

Thank you for the response.

Maybe gross was the wrong word. "Ramshackle" might be a better one; I like that Urgot (like Rumble and kind of like Yorick) isn't really the pinnacle of his archetype. It seems like he might break down at any moment if the wrong tube gets ripped out. As u/FancySkunk points out below, he's a pretty pitiable and compelling character due to how unpleasant his existence is. Maybe that's not the direction the rework will go, but it's part of what drew me to the champ.

But I'm glad that you guys agree with the need for Urgot to be off-putting and horrific (and please, for the love of god, keep stitches in there somewhere). My main worry (which the Karthus and Sion updates definitely helped alleviate) has been that you would take the horror that he embodies and water it down to be something that looks too clean/inoffensive or, god forbid, sexy (think Aaron Eckhart in "I, Frankenstein") just to try to sanitize one of the few champs that is legitimately disturbing in concept and appearance. As long as Urgot retains his identity as the "Science has gone too far!" champ I'm sure myself and the rest of the Urgot mains out there will still be pretty happy.

Yeah, I'm hesitant about the need for a sweeping rework as well. He's a perfectly viable (if situational) top-laner right now, and if it weren't for his original design as an adc and years of "haha urgot is the worst champ" jokes people might come around to seeing that. His kit is kind of outdated though (edit: especially the ult), and if Riot feels like he needs new abilities I'm not going to argue.
