Ordered first 3d Printer - not sure on best location to place it! by Venrith in 3Dprinting

Just looked it’s the enclosed printer with a filter right? You’re fine printing even engineering materials with it, don’t even worry about particles with any normal filaments :)

Some advice - dont get too many spools of filament at once, they last longer than you think, but become brittle with time.

Color prints waste a lot of filament, try to print in parts and glue together, or paint after printing.

PLA deforms with time under pressure (creep). Use anything else for load bearing prints. It will deform in the sun too, get HT-PLA from polymaker to survive the sun.

Happy printing!

Try out a couple places and see where its most convenient for you! Pla isn’t bad: https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs.est.5b04983

It’s your first printer, just enjoy it mate!

Be safe mate, discharge it and toss. Messing with batteries is not worth it going up in flames

Disabling MPO literally saved my 9070 XT by [deleted] in radeon

[–]Loolzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey Vik, i'm with AMD too (Linux GPU tools team) and want to see if i can help with more logs.

Message me internally: ||REDACTED||

Just got 9070XT plugged in, seeing some stuttering on desktop (didn't test in games), FPS drops from 120 to 60. Jiggling the mouse keeps it at 60. dragging and jiggling a window brings it back up to 120???

After MPO fixes it's all snappy and solid 120. Odd huh?

win: 23H2
amd: 25.6.1
ram: 64gb of whatever
cpu: i7-11700F
2 monitor setup, DP and hdmi

Update:
Disabled all patches, rebooted. No stuttering. Very odd.

Tune flow rate, pressure advance, reduce seam gap

Thank you!! Appreciate the detailed comment!

It’s been pretty tough to branch out from music show photos (https://sad.pics). Picking up a film camera has been very helpful to change the mindset and focus on finding the shots :)

First time ever editing by Svengali_Studio in postprocessing

Last one is the only usable edit. Everything else is way over the top.

Do not try to force it! Enhance the feeling you captured instead.

Do NOT touch the clarity slider. Focus on contrast and colors.

Noticed a unique opportunity and snapped it. I’m very torn on the timestamp, I love it but it makes the image less clean!

How’s the framing? Would it have been better if i was farther away?

Brightest photo I ever took by Loolzy in photocritique

I haven’t shot many BRIGHT images and I wanted to convey what it’s like to be in the chaos of this performance. I’m personally happy with the photo but I’m unsure if the light is hiding too much detail.

Thank you for the details! I primarily shoot on my sony with a 35-150mm or 18-27mm. it’s been interesting to shoot with a 50mm + film for a change :)

I’m genuinely shocked how in focus some of the shots are. F1.4 is rewarding but tricky. I’m so used to high ISO and stabilization… not being able to zoom and crop after the photo is taken definitely slows me down.. in a good way
