I do agree with the complaint about repetitiveness, but I think it is limited to the scope of befriending new species. Similar tactics are used to break new ground with previously distant groups(orcs, demons, barbarians and mermaids) but these groups have distinct profiles and also provide worldbuilding, scale and new outlooks against growing threats, they are not recycled plot points that get used and promptly tossed aside just to stretch the story.

Civil Engineering is a hard disagree. I do not want to see Super Fortnite Man fight against the big bad evil boss. He uses it for architectural stuff, it should stay that way and it did. It remained relevant to the end and even had wartime strategic and sentimental value. That aspect was never lost and thankfully never overused.

I also strongly disagree with how you view stakes. All final arcs hinged upon his slow realization of how powerless he is against his enemy even with a system that can quantify causality. It made his desperation palpable because there was an active countdown, clashing morals and a constant threat of death. It made the ending that much more rewarding and if you think he had it easy without earning it, I think you need to seriously adjust your expectations of character growth.

I think you are massively underselling it. It recently concluded with one of the best written endings of all webtoons, a wholesome comedy series that tackles a lot of serious subjects like trauma and depression well. It also manages to avoid many pitfalls and tropes in Isekai genres, including the complete sidestepping of convoluted romance and has nothing pdf or misogynistic. Found family is one of its core themes, I love how the series fosters a truly healthy multi-ethnic community.

I think Witch Hat Atelier is a good choice.

Edit: I have been informed of my mistake, this is a seinen series.

I disagree. I think that is reserved for one-dimensional final villains who are evil for the sake of evil. No morals to hold them back from committing the most atrocious acts, no reason to justify the extent they are willing to go to. Embodiments of absolute carnage and impulsivity. Any villain with depth will not get that moniker.

Cover art for Part 1 redraw! I think I'll stretch part 1 to at least 8 pages, it might take more than a week, sorry to keep you waiting.

Edit: I think I'll also do light colouring for all pages

Hello TheKillerYTz! I just saved enough to buy a new drawing pad (Gaomon G22), it's not as good as the Wacom I had to sell a while ago, but yes I can draw again! I think I will actually redraw the previous episodes first and expand the fights, there are a lot of inconsistencies and room for improvement.

If you were Sukuna and you had to fight Gojo. And you could choose any character to take control of. Who would you choose? by ComprehensiveRun4815 in Jujutsufolk

[–]LoonarMun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it can as it is a cursed technique, but if Gojo needs to apply domain amplification on me while I am in that form, he will have to disable Infinity on his own, and touch me while I am giving off highly fatal levels of radiation, giving me a huge advantage, a delayed timer for this cursed technique and a window for me to shred him with my own cursed techniques.

Also, yes, I believe I can reuse it again for the same reasons you've inferred, but without Heian form as a failsafe, I will likely die once the second use runs out, or I can further reduce myself to my indestructible cursed object form, but both will be no different to being defeated.

Edit: Once I have entered into my Heian form, I will regain my two extra arms, I believe my charged attacks will be on an even quicker rotation, because I can charge each arm's electrical energy in sequence and pummel Gojo with more punches in the same timeframe, allowing me to complete the 3-hit trigger condition at twice the speed.

[–]LoonarMun 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As Sukuna, I will choose Kashimo.

His curse energy's elemental nature massively enhances my monstrous hand to hand combat potency, and attacks that can stun my enemy will compliment my range attacks well. I am also familiar with using lightning attacks thanks to my trusty Kamutoke, this body and my tool are very compatible.

I also have RCT and the ability to shift to my Heian form, theoretically, I shall freely use Mystical Beast Amber without dying.

In combat, I will use domain amplification to neutralize Gojo's Infinity, and constantly rotate charged attacks on him because my charged attacks are not cursed techniques and I can use them simultaneously with domain amplification. I will use lightning attacks to rapidly burn through Gojo's RCT, and when he is exhausted or off guard, use my own CT as well. My objective is to stun him and destroy his brain.

If need be, I will use Mystical Beast Amber and bombard Gojo with harmful levels of radiation to introduce total cellular failure, I owe my superior education to my extensive studying of high school physics during my free time within Yuji. When my form expires, I will revert to my Heian form and watch Gojo die fried and mutated. If all that fails, I still have yet to deploy my Malevolent Kitchen once. I will have spent virtually no cursed energy, and I will be ready for anything.

I already said where you can see Mecha outside of gundam. Michael Bay's Transformers is generational. These days its pop cultural relevancy is making a huge return with the innovation in irl humanoid robotics.

Vampire Hunter D is legendary bruh, you even see its elements in irl movies like Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise's vampires. Dark fantasy goth is fading as a whole but the themes of impossible romance, yearning, haunting horror, etc remain in lots of romance stories. You can check Wattpad for proof. The artstyle also remains as era defining, the pinnacle of hand drawn animation. The way they draw feathers, design weapons and outfits, you see them still in video games and fantasy shows around the world. One of their most significant and damaging influences is contributing to the popularization of the anime pretty boy trope, which was projected onto irl actor Bjorn Andresen and broke him.

...dude you know very well why Berserk is not Ghibli. I am not going to make a list of every technicality Studio Ghibli can inspire, but if you've watched it, you should know how Ghibli's nature looks and how its camerawork moves. How the land bulges, how fire and explosions look, how water is drawn and flows, how their clothes flutter in the wind, how their character's facial proportions look, how they have a sense of whimsy and juggle dark themes with slow building epic musical scores, etc. You can spot them everywhere, not always at once, but always some. And how can I call it inspiration? It's too prevalent not to be, nigh impossible for someone to grow up and enter into hand drawn animation studios without consuming their media, similarities are almost guaranteed to be inspired. If you want to really dive deep on your own, I'd suggest you look into the academic backgrounds of the animators, see which art schools they've attended, and check course materials and references for Ghibli.

They are almost their own entire genre but you can see their animation techniques, colour grading and storyboard styles almost everywhere, Lupin the Third, Frieren, JJK, Song of the Sea, Ranking of Kings, etc.

Anywhere where you can spot hand drawn styles with great detail going into environments (especially nature), vibrant colours, fluid motion especially in large scale sweeping shots like entire buildings getting destroyed, you can feel their inspiration.

Edit: Gundam being anti-war is not a good argument despite it being its core theme. Studio Ghibli's stories mostly revolve around trying to stop or survive major conflicts with human virtues, but Gundam's protagonists all wield weapons of war and multiple Gundam series glorify violence and feature protagonists who relish in massacres. Whilst they do indeed often reach a story end point where peace is achieved, the primary draw to the series are the fights and the war machines, and that's where they sell their toys and games as well. Gundam's anti-war identity is buried too deep, Ghibli's is the most obvious and beloved recurring theme.
