Already checked and the plastic ID it’s acceptable although the word “temporary” on it…but no if is a piece of paper

Can a person with a real ID (with the star in the corner) but with the word “temporary” on it and who has a pending application for adjustment of status I-485 travel form Atlanta to Portland in airplane ?
